Well who will pay for it toffeeslam?? Money can't just magically appear.
The funding was majoritivly going to be given by usm holdings (a Russian company). If that company is sanctioned and can't provide the money then noone else will be able to. Are we just going to find some random saviour who wants to take on a club who can't buy many players because of ffp. Are stuck in the relegation zone and have a £300 million odd owed to moshiri as well as £500 million to pay for a stadium.
Unless if I'm missing something? Is this not the kind of trouble we are in?
It's an age thing, I'm not saying you are old like but I turned 50 years back and went all Vic Meldrew overnight, I reckon it happened the minute I blew me candles out?Not looking too rosy at the moment I have to admit, but because I'm such a miserable sod, once again I'll add the rider that if it doesn't get built it'll be RIP to our club.
It won't be something we have to worry about. What is worrying is a new stadium curse, historically teams will play worse at a new ground after a big move.
Has any team actually benefited from a new stadium in terms of league position in their first few seasons.
Arsenal struggled, Spurs did, remember West Ham losing a lot of their early games.
It will rumble on for a good while yet.The war is unlikely to last very long and the Russian money taps will be turned back on afterwards
It'd have to be a big cake to fit all the candles required to to indicate my landmark birthday in a fortnight or so. I should add as well as being an old grump, I hit every branch on the way down falling from the bad luck tree. It's an age thing, I'm not saying you are old like but I turned 50 years back and went all Vic Meldrew overnight, I reckon it happened the minute I blew me candles out?
If the war ends , as seems likely, with Russia occupying Ukraine those sanctions will be in place for a good many years. The war is unlikely to last very long and the Russian money taps will be turned back on afterwards

This is especially the case given the West has publicly committed to supplying and supporting Ukrainian resistance should they be occupied.

Is that possible based on this season?historically teams will play worse at a new ground after a big move.
yeah that's the concern, you wanna be finishing higher in the season leading into the move if possible. I know it seems far away and theres bigger problems at our feet. I found this image earlier of Premier League teams first game in a new ground. Is that possible based on this season?
