Can't believe you went all in on this???Nobody else is biting so I'll ask for you.

Bloody Usmanov and his pals trying to ban anyone using airspace over Bramley Moore.
Can't believe you went all in on this???
the thought of the club only having one option to fund this is laughable, they will have had big corp banks falling over themselves to invest, move Uxzzy's lot out and move down to the next option. Not big dramas.Stop looking for ghosts in your own shadow.
The stadium build will be what it will be. Can't think for a.moment that Moshiri would have started out on this without a clear idea to finish, as well as having alternatives in place for unforseen money issues.
Yes, nobody could have seen the current geopolitical situation happening, but billionaires don't become billionaires without a plan b.
Stop worrying and let's see how this plays out. After all, we all know nothing as to what the financial situation is, all we see is media and internet speculation.
That's my best joke my son. I'm a man of the cloth not bleeding Peter Kay!!!I knew what the reply was, hence asking the question ? oldest joke in the world???
That’s not the issue. The problem is that losing naming rights means that the financial viability of the stadium to lenders becomes less positive.the thought of the club only having one option to fund this is laughable, they will have had big corp banks falling over themselves to invest, move Uxzzy's lot out and move down to the next option. thats just the natural effect of inflation, lets say BMD will cost £500m, over 30 years, thats £16m pa, roughly 2-3 player wages per week's worth of payments, we have a 1st team squad of what 26 players (ive ignored interest, FH's £100m and the lower cost wages to keep it simple, but also ignored signing fees).
Now imagine the cost of a 1st team player in 30 years time, it will way outstrip these repayments. The premier league average wage was about £11k per week in 2002, the first few years will be tighter but this investment in the stadium will continue and it wont be as bad as the doom mongers will say. Don't forget the extra bonus of developing the area will bring whoever invests.
I understand but premiere league wages have increased much more than almost anything else on the planet. Building costs haven’t increased at the same rate . Also the 20m wasn’t the whole cost of the stadium was it? I thought that’s just what we had to put in and the rest was from other funding . Whatever way we look at it , kenwright screwed up massively and we missed the boat bog time … AGAIN !
Naming rights haven’t been lost though? That’s not the issue. The problem is that losing naming rights means that the financial viability of the stadium to lenders becomes less positive.
now, I’ve no idea where the balance lies, but this certainly tips the scales the wiring way.
the dodgy dodgy over seas rights and media people won’t be providing the funds for this, it will take proper legit financial institutions.
Banks like a certain amount of security too before lending out large amounts of money to a certain project. Us flirting with relegation is not what you could call 'security', especially considering the financial gulf between the Championship & the Premier League. It has nothing to do with dramas, scaremongering or doomsayers.... just simple facts and figures.
If banks are falling over themselves, why have we never announced the final financial package or even secured any loans to date (several years into the process)? Also, why did Moshiri have to finance the whole initial phase himself? Neither points to banks falling over themselves. That's not to say that there aren't any banks prepared to loan the club the money, but as far as I can see, there is little evidence to suggest that they are..... nor how a club with our relatively limited turnover (and parlous financial performance) could afford to repay them without a very solid sponsorship/naming-rights backer. With USM we had all of this "practically" in-house. Further to that, we don't even know how much of Moshiri's wealth is tied into USM and other Russian markets, which have or are about to collapse. So, yes it may well be the case that there is enough readies/momentum to still get this across the line, we don't know. However, without the additional financial clout of major backers, those viability margins (which we have never been fully informed about) must be tighter now.
