New Everton Stadium

This is the only thing positive about Everton at the moment. Like many Everton fans I was made up when they started actually building this. I thought it was a game changer and could see a brighter future for the club I love. This season has drained the life out of me tho. I don’t no what’s going to happen in the future but if we go down(looks likely) and this gets stopped I dread to think what will happen to this club. A lot of fans might just give up and the younger fans in the city of two clubs aren’t going to pick the one in the championship.

Of course they will carry on. Even if we spend 5yrs in the championship And sell all out best players and live of loans and homegrown youngsters for the foreseeable.

The ground is more important than the next 3/4 yrs
Do many teams in the Championship get loans and funding to build £600m stadiums? How many executive boxes are they going to sell for Rotherham at home to help pay it off?

Absolutely agree with this, the stadium is the one shining light of the season, playing wise Anthony Gordon, as far as I'm concerned at the moment the rest including, players, owners and board can go to Hell. As for further sanctions well it seems everyone wants to kick a dog when its down. ( literal), so Everton being Everton i fully expect more sanctions. The reason it hasn't happened yet ? Probably waiting to get Chelsea sold off to reputable owners. If we go down then I'll still support the club, if it's still here. Tonight's result is pivotal to that I think, still waiting for that refereeing / var favour to be returned, I'll not hold my breath though.

Owners selling off his assets such as the Liver building, clubs a mess financially and we face relegation and some of you still beleive this is going to get built?

Theres more chance of the easter bunny of Santa Claus showing up.

Take those blue tinted glasses off, take a step back and rethink and maybe you'll finally see this for the none starter this is.

I’d be amazed if that happened , most materials for building have risen by about 15/ 20% in the last year . The stadium won’t be a fixed cost as contractors won’t work like that . If it gets built then it’s more than likely going to be cutbacks on certain aspects of the build . The £500 million often quoted will probably be north of £600 now and that’s without anything out the ground yet .

That's what big contracts do.
