New Everton Stadium

Nope sorry. Only one meeting has taken place about Stonebridge - that's the only one I'm in a position to hear about tbh.

Understand and thanks.
I get a bad feeling when information is shut down under selected discretion of commercial sensitivity. It usually ends up meaning that they are going to force down our throats something that will not go down well with the fanbase.

Just a bit of extra info on WHP - it's been dead for a long time. EFC never ever had the money for it and were always hoping for a rabbit out of the hat from the Council - whilst the Council were always waiting for EFC to show them the money. Only reason it got as far as it did was Joe Anderson - and the only reason it's been announced now is political timing.

Our intentionality with a stadium has deffo increased. We're now looking at options where we're coming to the table with suggestions we can actually afford. They may not be quite as exciting as a Kings Dock or a WHP - but they have the advantage of actually being POSSIBLE. Moshiri is the driving force now - I know at least with Stonebridge it's his Russian mate on the Board who is attending meetings etc.
'They may not quite be as exciting as Kings Dock or WHP'?

Anyone think there could be a link between Joe Anderson saying we'll have a new stadium "within three years" and the council deciding to bid for the commonwealth games?

If that "three years" talk....could it actually indicate that theres plans already about some other site ...three years...sounds fast

That's what I thought, it could be that we've shown the council what the new stadium will look like and agreed planning permission on the grounds that we will make it available to them for a commonwealth games bid.

We`ve been waiting for a new stadium since 1996, 20 years!!! AND now we will have one within 3 years??? Sorry if I`m sceptical but that sounds too good to be true, and you know what they say about things that are too good to be true......

This is a huge area of land on the waterfront.

Just as a bit of info. Compare the two in terms of square meterage.

If the 3 year deadline is true it could be feared we are looking for some fast build (Kirkby design) stadium in some shitty location just within the city boundaries... Cannot think of any other stadium project of this size getting build in 3 years from a point where no location or stadium design has been in place. Doubt a stadiumdesign specially made for Everton can be made so fast if nothing is designed yet...
