I done some work up there recently , I actually asked one of the people at Home Bargains , according to them they own all the land around there and Everton aren't building a stadium there .

if they work in home bargains, can you trust their answer?

Just build it on a floating platform and anchor it in the Mersey. Problem solved. Use the ferries and the duck to transport fans.

one of the best ideas ever. we could create a second floating platform to transport fans to away venues

Would there not be huge planning issues with limited access to this site? Great location but access is severely limited.

I say this because one if the issues with Arsenal building the Emirates was the limited access - something which led to the capacity being capped at 60,000. Moshiri will be very familiar with this issue of course.

The biggest issue with this site is UNESCO and Liverpool waterfronts continued World heritage status. You'll notice that even on the Liverpool Waters proposals, there is a height restriction on all buildings on that spot. This is due to the visual block it puts on certain buildings and the fact that it detracts from, and doesn't sit in with the surrounding protected buildings. Princes Reach, which is going ahead, and the subsequent UNESCO review could be key to that.

10% of Goodison seating has an obstructed view of the goal area, and apparently 12,000 of the 40,000 seats have an obstructed view of the playing area.

Will the new stadium - when it eventually arrives - have artificial columns to maintain the Goodison atmosphere?
