New Everton Stadium

The access would be helped with the planned work on Great Howard street/Derby Road which is planned. A ground on the docks would always be my first choice but from what people have said on here in the past, it would be tricky with the land owners.

There is clearly a lot of land and a huge regeneration going on in the area. If we could get on board with the Liverpool Waters stuff we would be one of the iconic sporting venues in the world.

It will be a very difficult sell, they don't really need Everton. Also our track record isn't great and may well look at us as more of an unreliable burden. This is where Moshiri comes in really, his credibility, connections and influence could be a real factor in convincing key partners of how his vision for Everton would massively help. Lets be honest, a premier league team, in an iconic venue, with a top draw stadium and marketed right should bring value to any proposal. It will bring consumers in, both in terms of number and in terms of quality.

If we were to have a 50k+ stadium anywhere near the waterfront with lots of boxes further investors would be running around the corner to pour money into us! This WHP thing collapsing is not a bad thing for me. It was very much based on beg steal or our way to a Machano box.

Forget the waterfront.

Peel holdings won't entertain the idea, and even if they did, them grasping bleeders'd fleece us for rent.

Sadly I tend to agree about the waterfront.

For Anderson to give a timeframe of just three years,it sounds like is going to be a location with little opposition such as Stonebridge.

I think I'll jib thoughts of ever going again if that's the case.

I was looking forward to the day when kenwright's gone once & for all, but if that's gonna be his legacy, then it's the final insult, imo. :dodgy:

All those desperate for the docks, it absolutely friggin stinks down there.

Can't see another good location, mind. Worry about traffic getting in and out, could be horrendous.

A monorail?

That's right! Monorail!

Have you lads have been editing on Liverpool Waters' wikipedia page?

Transport links include a proposed monorail link to City Centre/John Lennon.
