There is clearly a lot of land and a huge regeneration going on in the area. If we could get on board with the Liverpool Waters stuff we would be one of the iconic sporting venues in the world.
It will be a very difficult sell, they don't really need Everton. Also our track record isn't great and may well look at us as more of an unreliable burden. This is where Moshiri comes in really, his credibility, connections and influence could be a real factor in convincing key partners of how his vision for Everton would massively help. Lets be honest, a premier league team, in an iconic venue, with a top draw stadium and marketed right should bring value to any proposal. It will bring consumers in, both in terms of number and in terms of quality.
If we were to have a 50k+ stadium anywhere near the waterfront with lots of boxes further investors would be running around the corner to pour money into us! This WHP thing collapsing is not a bad thing for me. It was very much based on beg steal or our way to a Machano box.
