New Everton Stadium

Nothing to do with snobbery. Side of pitch (particularly elevated) gives the best view of the pitch.

I'll never pay for a home ticket behind the goal again.
I quite like going to different parts of the ground, its one of the few advantages of not having a season ticket. Not been in the Park end or top balcony for a while though because, ... well just because.

My ST is in the balcony, I'd never been in the 'new' park end so I swapped it with a mate fir the Derby in December.

He's middle of the goal, about row g. My eyes are fine but the view of anything beyond halfway is miserable.

my favourite place is probably bullens road side, I like the crampedness, history, etc, better view in the main stand though and I quite like the upper gwlads.

Quick Google...

You've got permission for "four major non-sporting events at full capacity per year" at BMD.

For comparison, we've got permission for "16 non-Spurs events per year at full capacity, up to six of which can be concerts”.

That seems like a big difference but I don't think we'll reach that number anytime soon. It's a bit of long-term (perhaps wishful) thinking in case the NFL decides it wants a London franchise.
These permits seem to limit competition... Or does it not?

As I now like my creature comfort’s I’ll be sitting halfway line with all the comfy stuff right next to me. My son 18 is not having it though he wants to be in action part of crowd, are most people on here wanting the gwlady style part or want to be a snob like me?
I'll be wanting to keep my seat behind the goal because it's what I've became accustomed to over the years: I enjoy the people; the closeness and atmosphere.

There's obviously better views from places in the Main Stand and whatnot and the Park End is more uncomfortable, but for me it doesn't outweigh the LG.

I've sat all over Goodison over the years and objectively lots of places have benefits and people will have their own preferences, but I love my seat.

I love the people and the atmosphere, while it's under the cover and it's warm (physically and metaphorically). For me, they're far more important aspects.

Having more space, a comfy seat and watching the game side on like on the TV in a much quieter section doesn't come close.

My father for some reason always sat in lower Bullens, so first 4/5 seasons I attended with him I was always there! Remember when I went on my own I was in the top Balcony, didn’t like it because I’m afraid of heights and always imagined I was going to trip and fall of it, from my memory it was really steep. Never been in that part since!!

Echo only holds around 10-12k I think, Anfields been used for Pink, Rolling stones, bon jovi etc - i'd imagine a new stadium closer to the city would get priority over that now, Echo will still host the smaller indoor ones
You’d like to think so but no doubt they have a long contract or a Liverpool supporter on the events committee.

I haven't been in the TB since the mid 90s and my key takeaways from it were: it's fluffin' freezing in the winter; the steps are steep; it's quite subdued.

Don't get me wrong, I don't sit in GT4 with all the lids and all their madness, but I do like it to be a bit more vocal, energetic and that sense of comradery.

But as I said, I totally accept that everyone has their own likes and dislikes, so they may sit where I sit and go, "Nah, that's a load of..."

After the LG, I'd go for UG and then probably the Paddock.

I wouldn't worry about that tbh, it's very unlikely. It only happens, 3, maybe 4 times per season at most, and when you think of how many thousands of people sit there across 20+ games, the odds are very slim.

Maybe it is, but it's a weird science. Internal shapes, baffles etc to channel noice.

It's like if your under the dome at St Pauls you can hear something spoken in a very low voice on the opposite side. Daft comparison I know.

@Jacko93 knows a bit more a out what was done with the design for acoustics.
@Jacko93 do you know what’s been done around the acoustic studies for the stadium?

So do you think all the studies and work on creating the best atmosphere possible was all just a line to pass off a generic bowl as something it's not?

I've had my suspicions as more and more was revealed.

I somehow think I'll be pleasantly surprised and underwhelmed at the same time. Which somehow perfectly encapsulates Everton more than any unique design ever could.
It’s a stadium. Worry about what’s going on on the pitch
