New Everton Stadium

Crazy comment. The ferry terminal is about a 10 minute walk.
We will get tourist fans and Everton need to make the most of this. Can’t just shut up shop when a match day isn’t on. When the ships come in the stadium and shops etc need to be open for business.

The location is fantastic. I don’t get anyone questioning it. If you really want to come, you get the train from lime street to central
And then get off at Moorfields and take the 10 minute walk down. In the summer it will be fantastic.

Who cares about the smell when your necking a pint and sniffing the stale ciggy/vape smell.
Pity we don't play so much in summer.
PS Don't get the train from Lime st to Central!
Walk to Central and get train to Moorfields (if you want a 25 minute walk) or Sandhills (if you want a 15 minute walk).

Get the underground from Lime St to James St and save yourself a mile. Hopefully they'll have Soccerbuses from there, too. Spot on with the walk from Moorfields, though. It is 25 minutes and not 10. I think the stadium is fantastic and the location is great but let's not start thinking the stadium is half a mile nearer into town than it is. It's further than a lot of people would have you believe. It probably will be part of the city centre in 20 years, as well.

In reality, the city centre won't grow. It is what it is. The north docks will be a regenerated inner city area, more accessible, a nicer environment, and have more amenities but it will never be the city centre.

I've seen the future. We'll stay up this season and then get relegated next, spending our first season in our fantastic new ground, in the Championship.

Would be the most Everton thing ever.

It will smell of ale, farts, horse crap and BO(which may also be hotdog brine) like any other stadium. I wouldnt worry about it too much.
Given what we see on the pitch, that smell is the main draw to Goodison for many, *once smelled, never forgotten.

It stays with you, or on you, can't quite figure which!

*Maybe that should be our new motto?

It can stink to high heaven for all we care, if we are blessed enough to be able to attend BMD, it will be something to savour.

Not sure I agree with that. 40 years ago you would not have described the Albert Dock as part of the city centre. 10 years ago, you'd have said the same about the area now known as the Baltic Triangle. I would think given its location on the river, there is every chance it will be part of the city centre in future decades.
