Splitting hairs. The difference between that and a bowl is negligible. The hermits out there could probably calculate the difference to a few degrees. I don't think it makes much difference, but I do know that the Emirates is far superior to the New Den, and that most of the better stadiums in this day and age have a bowl-like design.
For me I'd like a stadium like Dortmund's, stands that are joined together rather than a bowl shape

The best bit is the comments on each article. The Kopites are terrified and doing the usual attempted putdowns on every single article, but they're just showing themselves up as utterly terrified that we've finally got a billionaire who can actually get things done.
I think it's quite noticably different to a bowl stadium tbh, maybe it's more noticable when it's empty. If you look at the Westfalenstadion compared to a bowl arena like the Emirates it's completely different - much steeper and the upper levels feel closer to the pitch.Splitting hairs. New Everton waterfront stadium? I'll believe it when it happens says Ratcliffe

There has been a certain amount of excitement from Evertonians this week about the prospect of reviving the idea of building a new stadium by the Liverpool waterfront but until it actually happens I can’t get carried away.
I’ve almost given up in some respects because there always seems to be an obstacle in the way.
Where should Everton's new stadium be: Waterfront or Croxteth?
It’s very disappointing that yet another project to build a new stadium has again been shelved in the shape of Walton Hall Park so we can only hope that the club might finally be getting it right with their latest attempt at relocating from Goodison Park.
To me, it doesn’t seem like we’ve been getting the right help from the right people or even pointed in the right direction and I don’t think money is the only issue.

One of the big issues if the stadium is built by the waterfront will be transport. All those years ago when we were hoping to build at Kings Dock there was talk of a new road going all the way in from the M62. Well they've built the arena there now and still haven't built one.
When you get to Liverpool from the motorway it's still another half an hour to get to the Mersey.

100% with you. Depending if it is needed to be used for any other sporting events though I would assume. Otherwise, if it is solely Everton's ground, then go the 4 steep sides.A new stadium that isn't a dome would be great! against the grain of what peoples perceptions are of new stadia. Would make it unique in the UK at least. Would look ace on the docks. Only issue being that logistically domes create more seats and therefore more corporate boxes which Everton have been miles behind tonnes of clubs in the past.
Well, wasn't there a historically significant area found when they were building Liverpool 1? I recall looking down onto it from ground level outside. If we're building in roughly the same proximity from the river, then there's a fair chance he might be right.Everton hero Ratcliffe: 'I’ve almost given up - there always seems to be an obstacle in the way'
Developers would be mad to build something like this without due consideration of other potential uses. Concerts, Commonwealth games, Papal visits...all contribute to the value of the stadium.100% with you. Depending if it is needed to be used for any other sporting events though I would assume.
