New Everton Stadium

I'd like to see Goodison turned into a football museum. Has any stadium in world football made such a difference?

It was the first purpose built stadium in the entire world, it should be cherished.

UNESCO should protect it, they'll be quick enough to have their say on a stadium going on derelict dockland but they'll show zero interest in saving genuine heritage. I honestly don't get them.

Wonder if UNESCO actually is "on the map with" Goodisons situation? They surely should be cause Goodison is unique in so many ways.
Very much doubt it. That is one thing I can never forgive this board for, they allowed the stadium to fall to wrack and ruin.
Instead of being talked about as one of the great institutes of the game, it is known as a tin pot stadium not fit for purpose.

Looks better there than it does now.

Surely its a win win for Peel. They own a lot of the land round there. If Everton slap a belter stadium and all kinds of other things that bring money to the area, wealth, that means surrounding areas will also increase in value, areas that Peel own.

Everton and Liverpool are two of the greatest clubs in Europe with stadiums almost next to each other still County Road isn´t exactly Rodeo Drive with flagshipstores from Gucci, Hermes and Prada... more like ALDI and Mcdonald:) surely a new stadium will have some effect but rarely when you look around areas around stadiums have developed into super attractive areas as an effect of the stadium... so we should not overestimate the effect...

Depends entire on the location, and the style, look and size of the new stadium.

A new stadium on the waterfront will look excellent, and will become a mecca for all sorts of restaurants and bars around that part of the waterfront. Because the footfall will be there; 50000 people on a regular basis. And not just on matchdays, once people start going.
