New Everton Stadium

Wasnt it £30 million that was needed for this before Kenwright got in the way?

30 million was just the figure spent on that diorama. The power point presentation was very expensive.

I can't be the only one when I say:

50,000 seats? I'd rather bloody expand Goodison than build a stadium with 50,000 seats, and I don't want Goodison expanded at all. What a pathetic, disgusting and stupid waste of money. This board never ceases to amaze me. Not even 10,000 more seats. I know, executive boxes will be plenty, but there is no point in going half the mile. 60,000 seats should be the minimum, otherwise it is pointless.

surely filling it would then become an issue? Didn't Juve build a modern stadium that had much less seats in than their previous one and financially it has worked for them.

More seats means reducing prices. More season tickets sold, more seats filled, more merchandise and (what they claim is) Chang beer purchased.

Nonsense.

We would never get close to selling out a 60,000 seater stadium. It would be a total waste of money to build a ground so large.

It'd also be a crap atmosphere for most matches. I've been in huge half-empty stadia here and abroad, and it makes every game feel like a friendly.

When football was affordable for all.

If you really look at, what's needed is about 10+ years of CL football or new owners...end of story. Any other situation is precarious for the long term. Hell, even knew owners are depending on their intent.
