LOVE GOT JUST THE WAY IT IS #ALWNV
Not saying you're wrong but a lot of those clubs have a very low starting point. I think our average will increase but probably the least out of all those clubs, maybe 2000-5000. There's only a handful of games a season we sell out and it obviously depends on our results on the pitch.
Also those stats only show the season after the build, obviously a lot of fans will be curious to visit their new stadium in the first season. Do you know if the trend continued or did attendances fall back?
The three main reasons we haven't sold out games
1. Away support not filling allocation (fulham wigan bolton newcastle were worst for this)
2. Lack of Saturday 3pm kick offs
3. Posts in the way
55,000 this puts us in a competitive range to arsenal man city newcastle and liverpools proposed "upgrade" (haha)
You've also got to remember. Peaks and troughs.
55000 sell outs bring in more money than 50000 sell outs. We need to maximise revenue in the sell out games.
Even the non sell out games a 50,000 attendance figure is respectable and with time will increase further due to higher club turnover+investment in the squad.
The 5000 empty seats would be barely noticeable.
Equally in the run in last season. The last three home games were virtually complete sell outs a month in advance.
How many people inquired about getting tickets in the run in?
If the club checked probably more than enough to fill 55,000
If martinez keeps this up we need more capacity and fast. Certainly before his contract expires.
