New Everton Stadium

There's a planning in principle application ongoing in regards the Walton Hall Park site. Commercial partnering & financial arrangements are being finalised in conjunction with LCC. Potentially some VERY good news before the season starts.
Sauce?
Give the maximum amount of detail you legally/morally are capable of.

TBH mate, i thought this was the state of play anyway at the AGM so I am unsure how we have moved forward since the AGM.

Boys, I 'know' no more than that ... I was at a meeting in a regional FA office. An FA rep commented almost verbatim what I've said. I didn't question it any further - it was said in a way that almost sounded "everyone knows". That's it - it could be absolute [Poor language removed] but I'm more inclined to believe there's a hint of substance in this one. Take it as it is, I don't confess to be any type of "in the know" nor do I want to be - just passing on something that 'potentially' could be very significant.

I wasn't aware personally that this particular site had been identified as 'the one'. Perhaps you knew, I don't know - I'm sure many didn't if in fact it turns out to be true.

One site, believed to be Walton Hall Park, not far from Everton's historic home, has emerged as the preferred option and plans have advanced to the design stage, with the stadium part of a wider regeneration scheme.

Thanks for posting the info mate, much appreciated, some would argue with their shadow for the hope of a negative slant.

Fair play, interesting the tie ins in regard to commerical partners & financial arrangements - talk of a model similar to CIty's - so get your we dont own our own ground arguements ready!

Is there the room for this 'model' in and around WHP?

I suggest that if they are to go up this road then, as I have said a number of times, they should build and develop as near to the city centre as possible.

I'm just saying it now, but with the current board in charge this will be the outcome in the end.

I'd love Everton/Scotland Rd area or the waterfront they would be ideal or even better stay and redevelop GP...BUT Walton Hall Park is nowhere near disasterous in the way somewhere like Kirkby or South Liverpool would have been - it's certainly not a location to go to war (keioc style) with the club over. Keeping us close to our roots within Walton is not bad just not perfect.
