New Everton Stadium

It is awful,
We havnt won a trophy there for 28 years
We havnt won the league there for going on 40 years
We bearly won a home game there the last 3 years.
Clearly a BK idea this, deliberately handicapping ourselves for no reason

You may love Goodison but the truth is it’s been a weight around our neck for decades

Did we get a pyschic to speak beyond the grave to BK?

What a load of twaddle you are spouting here.

What a wank post. The stadium has nothing to do with us being unsuccessful on the pitch.
Yeah because Utd getting 50k more ppl a week, or Arsenal 40k more a week doesn’t make a difference.

Have a stadium with only 40k in this day an age where money is Everything is one of the main reason we fallen more and more behind

We are 10th by capacity in the EPL. We have 3½ times the Capacity of Bournemouth.

Yes we lose out to a certain extent, esp' over time, but it's more complicated than that.

Your argument for Goodison holding us back is it's capacity and you cite United and Arsenal as an example of a larger stadium bringing success... hmm.

Goodison Park has saved us from being relegated more times than I care to remember.

Without that stadium and the fans inside that stadium, we'd be in League 1 by now.

I've said it once and I've probably said it a thousand times, Goodison is by far and away one of the greatest stadiums we'll all have had the honour of being in its presence at some time in our lives.

Utd get 35k more per match (not 50k). Arsenal get 20k more people per match (not 40k)..... why exaggerate? Paucity of argument perhaps?

Those clubs invested massively in their infrastructure. We didn't! We are now paying that price....

I'd love to see a mini tournament featuring other Everton's from around the world. I think it would be a touch and showcase our reach and mark we've left on the origins of the beautiful game. It would be like a family reunion.

Are people just idiots?

We won't be able to sell season tickets for Bramley Moore. If we start the season at Goodison, we will only be able to sell the same amount of season tickets we sell now.

If we moved in in January, we'd have about 8 or 9 home games left, in which we'd sell 12k extra tickets x (let's say) 9 = 108k (approx) extra tickets sold. Stop making out like we're gonna be missing out on an enormous fortune. It would be about £5 million we missed out on, and I'm sure we will still hold events there, that through curiosity and a desire to get in and see, would raise decent enough revenues to brink that £5 million figure down.

The close season move may well be related to laying the new pitch in BMD. To move in the middle of winter isn't ideal if the pitch has only been newly laid. No time for the grass to bed in. Not playing on the pitch until August 2025 will allow the newly laid turf to knit together through a growing season and be at it best.

Astonishing post. Goodison and the atmosphere generated by the crowd is the only thing that saved Everton in the last two seasons.

The Geordies top 50k but until recently have been utter plop.

It helps, like, but part of it is management and strategy. We could have a 100k stadium and associated revenues for the whole Moshiri era, but we'd have still wanted it.
