........if we do move to the dock location it will scupper that old trivia question about the nearest football ground to the River Mersey. I imagine our new ground would replace Edgeley Park, Stockport (coincidentally, where I did score a few goals back in the day - never miss an opportunity).

No mate, it means there's no final decision yet. The docklands site is clear favourite but until that is agreed other options have to be considered - standard decision making practice.

Although docks are where peeps want you never know if theres interesting options in the city too. Docks shouldnt be made as a matter of life and death to EFC.

It would be a couple of docks away from the sewage works and it's had about £200m spent on it so I don't think smell will be a problem.

Difficult to say mate. I would have thought it is in all party's interests to move forward as quickly as possible. Wouldn't want to say for definite over the summer but would think sometime before end of year is a reasonable assumption.
