New Everton Stadium

Why would anyone fume over that?, moshiri HAS to look at all options so that to me shows the doom mongers who where saying stonebridge was now a done deal yesterday where just wrong

Exactly. All most people have ever wanted from EFC is a business model that works, something the previous incumbents were incapable of delivering.

Could also be Anderson telling that guy not to be negative about SC. Part about Moshiri knowing 'my views' didn't read great. But like I said, could be taken either way. The tweets are confusing though one suggesting that options are still being weighed up, another one suggesting we'll have a stadium in 2 years.

There is always the outside chance that Everton/Moshiri and the council, plus developers/external investors, could turn SC into a top new destination. Rather than us being out in the sticks, it may become a go-to place.
Sorry to disagree with you there mate, been driving around there this morning and it stinks to high heaven, if it's Everton's/Moshiri plan to turn SC into some sort of all year round destination for visitors they need to visit it on a hot afternoon they would soon high tail it out of there.

If we went to Croxteth the team would have to be amazing for anyone other than die hard fans to go. It's a massive risk. You've got more chance of ending up like Sunderland and Middlesbrough who have out of town stadiums where you have to go by car and it takes 2 hours to get out after the match so everyone leaves 15 minutes from the end to get away. Also their attendances fluctuate massively depending on how the team is doing.

If we had a destination stadium at the docks you would get decent attendances whenever, as tourists would go, and fans of other teams who were visiting Liverpool. For example I'm talking with my lad about going to Wembley to see Spurs and The Olympic Stadium to see West Ham.

Yeah true this, Sunderland built on an old colliery, land going towaste like SC, and the traffic backs up like mad. I always park on the other side of the river, its a 45 minute wak back to the car but you can get away quicker. That 45 min walk once a season isnt so bad, but doing that every week would be a nightmare.

SC for me is going to have awful dispersel times, one of the many reasons against kirkby was the one road in and out, SC might have a road that leads to the Motorway but it isnt exactly fast on a normal day, forget it with 55k on it.

if we don't we are even less attractive to 'tourists' visiting the city.
not the first time I've heard this phrase over the last few days. I understand its sensible to try and get tourists into the stadium to swell attendances and revenue (stadium tours)... but currently do we attract tourists to goodison? genuine question as I have no idea. Do we actually have these people already and would lose them, or is the argument we'd never get them if we move?

We wont have a stadium in two years if there has been no agreement on location.

He is being a politician coming up to an election mate

There is only one reason that JA had that photo taken and it is doubtful it was by coincidence that it was SC prospectus on the table. Do people think that FM has kept so quiet about the whole thing for it all to be revealed on a picture taken by JA's aide?

Everton have been, and it is highly likely, still are in discussion with Peel over a site at the docks.

I think we have them on occasion now but if we were based in/near the city centre it is suddenly a bigger attraction to anyone visiting Liverpool. Also, stadium tours, museum visits etc. all become more attractive.

I am not massively keen on tourists coming on a match day, unless they support Everton. However, the revenue that the club could bring in through stadium tours, experiences plus increased brand exposure would definitely be higher if based on the docks.

See, I dont think it makes sense to read it that way. Anderson defends him looking at all options in the tweet. Hes telling him not to be negative to him looking at all options. If he had chosen SC Anderson simply would have worded it more as dont be so negative over SC.
