New Everton Stadium

For those of us who went to Milton Keynes this evening, wouldn't you be proud of a bigger version of the MK Arena. It's now a League 1 ground and ok it's only a 30k capacity but comfy seats with cushioning, leg room and a really well laid out entrances. Put another 20k seats in and we could be so proud! It just needs another tier and I would be holding my head up high!!!

This is why we can't have nice things.

In all honesty, I would prefer a bespoke stadium, something that things are compared against rather than it being compared to something. Also something in fitting with its surroundings (hopefully the docks). The MK stadium may well be very 'nice', but it's just not Everton.

I think the sentiments of what you say are sound regarding the difference that decent facilities and more comfortable surroundings that you get from a modern stadium will bring. But for our needs and to hopefully make that statement that we are heading back to where we all want to be, I think something a bit more ambitious than the MK with another tier is on the cards.

Good times ahead !

You do not want that stadium. I went to an NFL game there and it felt like breaking INTO prison. Also the class difference between the posh people in their high-dollar seats and the rest of us is extremely noticeable. You can't even walk all the way around the stadium on the concourse. The stadium does not try to hide that the stadium had rich people in mind first and foremost.

Hmmm Unfortunate, that. I was struck by how powerful and dramatic the stadium itself looks, the glass sections particularly. On the waterfront something similar would look fantastic IMO.
I just liked the futuristic look of it, with the retractable roof - and the colour scheme inside was of course tying in with our own stadium and team.

Obviously money talks so an ultra-exclusive"VIP" corporate section is expected to feature - as they do in all other modern stadiums. Sadly there has to be a class system in football - indeed in almost every professional sport - these days - finance demands it so.

It's been mentioned about the massive video screen - I'd like something like a "Cube" TV system like the Veltins Arena, home of Schalke. Not too obtrusive but looks cool AF. Another space-age ground. This is a super-smart 21st century stadium. Right colour scheme again..... Retractable roof as well....

That'd do for me, I wouldn't have to associate with the rest of you plebs then. Get it built, Moshi.

Smart isn't it. Very different from the standard stadium style. The odd shape of it is really appealing though I think. The roof is cool and that cube screen system is boss.

Don't want some jarg oval new age hipster stadium like the Emirates or the Eitihad. I want a Battlestar Galactica or a Death Star goddamit. Something imposing yet magnificent.
