New Everton Stadium

Yes, that's a very good point. Another few years wait for me I think and perhaps with much better seats available for general sale the season ticket is not so important at BMD. Getting close to the top of the waitlist though. 😃

I think a few more of those near the top of the remaining waiting list may still get a season ticket, if not everyone takes up the offer.

I know of one Season Ticket that won't be getting taken up, so there will be at least one person getting one that thinks they won't.

Merry Christmas.

It would be interesting to know in the last 5 years or so how many of the Everton Season Tickets that haven't been renewed have actually been offered to those already on the waiting list.

I do know of one this season which wasn't renewed which rather than be sold to someone on the waiting list it went to a third party agency (hotel match break deal etc) and was even empty for the opening game of the season due to the high cost per game. I would imagine that the amount of seats that are non corporate but get sold as season tickets to agencies will dramatically increase which is why there are big concerns from those on the waiting list who thought they would be fine.

I guess it's also difficult to gauge how many people on the Everton season ticket waiting list genuinely want a season ticket. As it is part of the paid membership its almost something by default that you're added to the list whether you want to be on it or not?

You still have to register to be on the waiting list, member or not. So there had to have been a conscience decision at that stage to join. However what you wanted and could afford 6 years ago may now not be applicable. I would imagine a good 300-500 out of those 3 or so thousand decline the opportunity for a ST, when push comes to shove.

Hope so, my dad has missed out due to Everton administration.
He has five consecutive qualifying membership seasons, but when you check the waiting list he's only showing four. For some unknown reason they gave him a different fan id in one season, which has the single membership showing.
He's rang them, nothing can be done! Saying he's missed the deadline to complain.
Bar stewards!
Missed probably the only possible chance of owning a season ticket together with me dad

I don't disagree - but it's not a walk that people unfamiliar with the city would be properly aware of. You can't really miss the new gaff - it's a landmark all of its own. And, without offending anybody, the surroundings on the way are a lot more salubrious.

See? Killing the game, us tourists.
am I a tourist from Cheshire? I hope so, sounds better than being a wool

Hi Tom, do you know for expansions what the current cost per seat is? I know it's very subjective. But I recall about 20+ years ago when various clubs were looking at expanding capacity, a figure of around £7,500 per seat was bandied around. I assume that this was on the basis that much of the servicing (e.g. turnstiles, catering, toilets) etc. had been sunken in, and crowd management wasn't an issue. If this was the figure back around the turn of the century, I'd be interested to know what it is now.

I recall that West Ham did a large expansion at the old Boleyn Ground - one away game you could see the new stand emerging from behind the current one. Then it seemed within 10-15 years they were moving to the Olympics Stadium.

Apologies, missed your post.

It depends on the volume and complexity of the construction, and of course site acquisition and prep. A simple single tier small stand can still be built for just a few thousand pounds per seat. A large complex multi-tiered stand (for a 50k+ stadium) could be £8-10k+ per seat. Anfield's 2 stand extensions were roughly at that cost. After you take BMDs site preps and heritage/ancillary works costs etc, it is probably similar cost per seat.

Just wondering in the new stadium will there be any bars and restaurants on the outside of the complex for the casual match goer or for people who are not/cannot go to the game rather than one you have to buy a membership for

Not exactly - getting a membership only gives you an option to opt for Tier 1 of the waiting list. I remember doing this a few years ago and it's an online form separate to the membership stuff.

I also know of someone who has a membership but chooses to remain in Tier 2.

.
If there can't be more capacity on the trains and there can't be more bus provision, what is the solution?
