New Everton Stadium

The red brick exterior would make sense to fit in with the "neighbour" which is currently undergoing redevelopment into apartments:

I love that building

If things have moved on further than the Echo reports, surely there's some publicly available information out there?

If we have bought the land, surely those in the know can tell us this. If we haven't, then I fail to see how that is any different from what the Echo report.

The resident ITKs need to put up or shut up, imo.

Well, given that KEIOC article yesterday said Moshiri set up Blue Heaven holdings a year ago yesterday, and we found out in Feb, with plenty of ITKs still "hearing" the American duo were close right through January, I would say there is a very good chance we could have done plenty with people not knowing, which is the way it should be.

I like these things to be done cloak and dagger, shows its being done right. Let's just see what happens.

I'm 100% not in the know but a pal worked on the gob-shites roof coversion (did the crane work on the removal phase of old stand) there company been asked to tender for a major docklands project with a projected 2017 start date unaware if they got tender or when bids had to be in for or what project is but word major is interesting

That might be Princes Reach, that's due to start next year in Princes Dock.

Brick exteriors are very "Anfield" I hate to point out. I'd prefer we went our own way with our own distinct style.

I don't dislike the style necessarily, but you have to be careful. Super modern structures (like this new stadium will be) can look very tacky and odd if done in "old" building styles, like out of brick.

Very hopeful that today's rumours have some legs anyway!

You do realise that underneath GP's cladding there was some very fine brickwork that was on show for an awful long time.....

Whether they do it cloak and dagger or not, much of the information is in the public domain. If we have bought the land already, it'll be in the Land Registry, for example.

I just think there's a lot of stringing along going on here for no good reason. We all want to know we're progressing, but if proof cannot be given, perhaps it's best folk keep schtum.

True. Any deals relating to any property purchases tend to be kept under wraps and out of the public domain. It feels like Mosh and Co are getting their ducks in a row here and lots of talking with the various parties is happening so all can be unveiled together minimising the potential for mishaps with planning etc.... Fingers crossed.

I'm aware, but never got to see it. Seems a massive shame they put all the cladding over it.

Let me reiterate, I love brick structures. That picture of Stanley dock above is awesome. But I love them because that's the structure of the building, the brick is integral as well as good looking. For new builds, to me it feels fake because the brick is just a facade behind a steel structure, which to me just doesn't feel quite "real". It's hard to explain. Maybe the anfield example wasn't the best way of explaining. It's just personal preference is all!

Yeah, sorry, that was my point, I wasn't having a go at you, I just phrased it poorly.

My point is that a lot of people don't know what is really going on, and those that do, probably aren't going to post it on a public forum if it's business sensitive, as proven by the Moshiri thing.

This goes way beyond transfer dealings and there is much more at stake, as well as many more people and organisations reputations.

What is the problem with people with knowledge of the situation, although not directly involved, informing a forum that the stadium issue is further advanced than reported by the local media?

I'm not advocating wild speculation, of which to my knowledge there has been none, but surely one of the principal points of a forum is to share information, often ahead of official sources or media.

The specifics are too sensitive for a public forum but a general nod in terms of the amount of progress is reasonable in my opinion.
