New Everton Stadium

North West part of the channel you mean? Yeah it is a head scratcher. They must be able to dig the remaining out whilst it is filling up with water. All logic would tell you it would have been better to dig out it all, except a small bank right at the mouth just to hold it back. Be interesting to see how they finish it.
they may not dig that out, the water may swoosh it from where it is built up and eventually may all settle spread out across the bottom of the channel. It'll only add a few inches across the whole channel

I can't help but notice the two gates on the other side of the channel, I deffo thought they would have filled them in, they look a bit of an eyesore. Not sure if they weren't allowed to. Can you see where I mean ? The South Stand side.

I said at the time it was being announced that we should do another Everton first: First indoor stadium. We don't need sunlight anymore, not with hydroponics. Conditions would always be perfect for footy, with no wind, rain and temperature control/air con. Atmosphere/noise would be off the scale. and as you say, it would have been the premier arena in the country.

I'm not complaining though, I love the new place, and I never actually thought something like that would be considered.

Same. I kept banging on about Lucas Oil Stadium. Once I saw that I had my ideal stadium design already.

I get LOS didn't appeal to too many there's a few American Football stadiums that show what BM could have been. It should have definitely been bigger with extra tiers (not tears they come later) and either a retractable roof or a fixed translucent roof. I would have also made the orientation E/W rather than N/S.

No point moaning it is what it is.

Dua Lipa choosing Klanfield over us... it's not looking good brev

She's not really. Our stadium won't be ready for concerts next summer. They are laying the pitch now, shows like that would destroy it and require to be relaid. They've kind of made it clear that it will be football test events before the official opening which will be a mens first team game.

This could be subject to change if Textor gets control of us in good time. I doubt it though.

I know what you mean. They do look well worn, however you won't see much of them soon. I take it that is all about keeping the heritage.

Great video Barry 👍
Do you know if this area I circled is going to be left open air as is or are there glass panels or something due to be installed?

Sound lad. Just looks a bit odd and unfinished to me if it's left like that esp looking directly into the rear of the stand. Think it would look better with glass panelling
This is being left as is. It is in line with Meis’ design and his ethos of not over-engineering/designing as that level is entirely for worker access for maintenance and not fans. There are no ‘vomitories’ to/from the seating bowl.
