New Everton Stadium

Looks great and all, and I just have missed it, but what statues are going up around the ground? I heard the HT and Dixie’s statues may be staying ware they are now, so has there been any news out of the club for statues at BMD?
Everyone thinking this new ground is going to make a difference, Everton have been rubbish on every other premier league ground, why is this place going to be different?

It was explained to me that no one city could have two venues involved in a Euro tournament. So that would rule out the RoI, unless the Aviva got more games as there's no decent capacity stadium outside Dublin.

Maybe UEFA will hand an extra game to 6 existing venues - us included?

EDIT: hold on that badly makes sense!

I agree with your statement!
Pairc Ui Chaiimh in Cork holds 46,000.

Hoping for statues of Yobo and Hibbo guarding the gates as a nod to when we had a world class defence👍

Would a GAA ground allow football to be played on it though...association variety?

Probably would at this stage we had Rugby in Croke Park last year and Pairc Ui Chaoimh could do with the few Bob.

I doubt it though GAA grounds aren’t great for Association football as GAA pitches are much bigger then association football pitches.

Here’s when the Irish football team played a few games in Croker, UEFA wouldn’t want that aesthetic.

Thomand park in Limerick would probably be an alternative but that only holds 25k.

The biggest stadiums in the country are all GAA Grounds.

Massive stadiums for GAA considering the small population of the RoI.

I should imagine the Aviva will take another game or two that would have been at Casement Park.
