Without being an expert, any crypto payments would have to be made to a 'wallet' rather than a bank account, and payments could only be transferred to our bank account after the cryptocurrency has been converted into fiat. You'd have to wonder what cryptocurrency was being used for payment; there are some stable ones amongst many that are volatile in value. Hopefully Uncle Uzzy will be allowed to inflate the deal by increasing the amount of crypto in our wallet, who would know? lol
Unless it’s monero or tornado cash it’s pretty easy to trace (despite what anti-crypto politicians would have you believe)

True, but you can only trace the wallet addresses, no? There are no other identifiers? You'd have to know the relevant wallet addresses to even begin looking / auditing?

I jest about Uncle Uzzy, unfortunately.

I'd honestly pay a bit more for a shirt that had NO advertising of any kind on it, if I liked the shirt. But if we go down the route of another gambling firm I'll shift from deafcon 3: embarrassed about my club to defcon 4: ashamed of my club.
Defcon 5: jacking in my 40 years of passionately following Everton and throwing football in the bin would only be a short stroll from that.

How much more though?
Cazoo was reported at £10m per season and let’s say we sell 75k replica tops per season (I doubt we sell that many tbf) that’s a £133 premium added to a £60 top to lose the sponsor….
Don’t think there will be too many takers @ nearly £200….

Once you've traced transactions to a CEX it's then a case of getting the KYC details, because you have to onramp and offramp into the real world at some point which is where the whole annonymity aspect kind of falls down.

A tenner. The advertising the sponsor makes comes through the team being watched by thousands at the match or on TV. You can't assume parity with the revenue for the exposure gained by some fat bloke waddling down the High Street - so its not fair to shift the load onto those who are not wanting to be billboards. Its that or I simply don't buy the shirt.

Not sure I follow…… lose a shirt sponsor and Everton lose the associated sponsorship revenue, so replace it with what? Spread the loss across the pies and ale too, so the shirts go up by a £10 but a pie & pint is £40?
Or just say meh to turning away £10m+ per season so few people can say they prefer the plain shirt.
I’m sure the club will be considering the impact of you not buying a shirt over turning away £10m in shirt sponsorship

I'm talking about a shirt I might buy. The club can wear what they like.
Before the 80s a club shirt was a club shirt .... and all clubs were in the same boat, players were still paid more than the common bloke and football managed to get by.

I see (I think) your suggesting having a shirt sponsor but being able to buy the shirt without the sponsor on?
