Prentice, brought in as Director of Communications in February, and communications out of the club since then have been worse than ever.

Like actually picking up a Directors wage, and communicating nothing.

I seem to recall him buckling a bit under the weight of fan engagement on Twitter and the like.

Can’t blame him. Imagine being the club’s human shield against the fanbase.

Used to wind me up how a Kopite lad in our street always got the new Liverpool kit for his birthday in May, while I'd be sweating over ours being out in time for mine in July.

Offered the job after years of loyal service at the Echo of being BKs chief cheerleader. Rewarded with a seat in the directors box when still a journalist.

I think he was surprised at the backlash his usual cheerleaders article got after the Chelsea game.

I was pleased to see Adam Jones publish a 'slightly' critical piece against our board last week. Hopefully he'll get bolder as he grows into it. (alternatively, the club has a word with his boss and he gets put back in his box)

In all seriousness, probably 99% of the fanbase couldn't care less so I can't see that being an issue for them.

I don't think that's true, but we all have our own perspective on this.

If it is Stake, as long as the club come out and say, look our finances are a mess we've gone with the highest bidder, I think the fans will understand.

It's normally a club record deal, which will remain undisclosed..

I'm very confident it's true. I'm not giving my own personal opinion on it here, just stating that the huge majority of people don't have an ethical problem with there being a gambling firm on the front of the shirt. They didn't when it was Sportpesa, or Chang, and they won't now.

No mate, I'm afraid you've just completely misunderstood. I mean i'm not saying that i'm not bothered, i'm just saying that the vast majority of people aren't bothered. If you think there's going to be a huge backlash if we announce a gambling firm as a sponsor and a boycott and all that, then that's fine, but I am absolutely certain that you will be proved wrong. It's never bothered people to that extent before, I'm not sure what you think has happened in the last 2 years to change that.
