Well I'll sleep a lot easier having those three points on the board.

We made a meal of it and it wasn't a great performance, but we did look a bit more incisive a fair bit of the time, and could have had a couple more in the last 10 minutes, really.

Shame nobody crippled Kevin Nolan as well, but the 3 points will do.

seeing so many negative writings before the game, im feeling especially happy that i believed that lads would deliver. all the way.
COYB

He lost it once with two minutes to go when he tried to accelerate past Tiote and Tiote shouldered him off the ball to win it. If they had scored on a counter from that, I guarantee Johnny wouldn't have seen a minute on the pitch for the rest of the season.

Luckily, nothing came of it.

This...it had me cringing. He has options left and right with miles of space but decides on the hero line right down the middle and promptly turns it over. I thought they were going to convert.

Life is good at the moment though. 10th place with a six point cushion. Huge game with Brum next. We can't have a let down this is another one we need to put in the back pocket with ten to go. Massive time of the year at the moment with Fellaini & Cahill out. I'm not a big fan of Heity but he needs to get his passing game going he can do much better than that.

Great result for Everton today.

It's very difficult to come away from St James Park with anything, so all credit to Moyes and his men today.

Perhaps a Europa League place is a possibility now if Everton can put a decent run together?

Six out of the last ten games at home - if it was the other way around we might just threaten picking up sixth.
I reckon we might have to go to the final day and hope Chelsea aren't chasing a CL place by then. TBH, if there's no European qualification this season is a complete and utter disaster.

When done boys, but please finish games off when we have the chance, our hearts cant take it.

Arteta was back to the best little spaniard we know today. Also thought Beckford looked a lot more confident, he was turning and running direct at their defence, good signs.

Its up to us now, 3 home games on the bounce and a season that looked like pettering out may well turn out ok.

If I were to have one major gripe about the match it was that Beckford came off for Vic as opposed to Saha. Not that Saha was poor, far from it. But I thought Beckford was going to get one. I really did.

Saha was our main man today by a long way MOM.

Don't know about MoM but he was very good. I thought he was a bit tired towards the end there, hence why I wanted him off vs. Becks.

But nothing to do with his play, that's for sure.

Agreed. I think the anchor role is key to it. Apparently Moyes and Round were both face-palming over the amount of times that Jonny lost the ball high up the pitch. If Neville's not going to be fit, then we have to consider playing Jags in midfield (where he played a lot for the Blades) and Heit in behind him or even Hibbo there. Two problems with that are that Coleman's not fully fit himself to play at right back and Hibbert is likely to give fouls away in more dangerous areas if we use him centrally.

Jags is shocking as a DM mate. He was played there when we first got him...he was woeful

really cant agree with this.

arteta (mom ) he was a real handful and our driving force .... saha dont get a look in when tets is on that kind of form.

saha could have had 4 goals today , 3 of them he should have got imo.

have to say that before anichebe came on , i thought we looked very comfortable and well balanced in the 442 .
