Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

Richard Masters has seen his arse the coward.

Another step towards the average fan walking away from the sport.

Wish these yank billionaires and oil despots would all [Poor language removed] off and give uz our game back.
You mustn't forget the Oligarchs as well.

It's state owned countries now though, we are not dealing with individual wealth now, its actual states and petro dollar ones at that, who spend whatever on a football club and get that in petro dollars in 5 mins of the opening bell on Oil futures in whatever price the barrel of oil is the next morning.

Everyone replies to my posts when i mention my disdain for petro dollar clubs, but the game isn't about sporting integrity now, these petro dollar clubs are buying clubs for sports washing purposes and spending whatever to win trophies which is the ultimate sports washing venture, Man City owner and the leader of Qatar don't even watch there own clubs, they don't really care for them, they just want the trophies nothing more, no financial returns just something to deflect from their constant human rights and dictatorship that won't get reported.

Even Abramovich with his £7 billion fortune will not be happy about this i bet, even he knows he cannot compete with that, PIF don't care about financial returns, they are the face of the Saudi Royal ownership, mainly MBS, you think returns from a industry that posts low profits wants a return as someone posted above, that is laughable a $500 billion wealth fund of a Petro Dollar country that sells 18 million barrels of oil a day caring about 10 digit returns on profits, does the Abu Dhabi royal family take or want financial returns from Man City, no the only returns City, PSG and MUFC owners want is trophies.

Petro dollar is not racist, pick up the WSJ or FT and see that term a lot when reading on Oil Futures.

Damn go to canary wharf to any office that deals in Brent Crude Futures the place where it deals with Oil in the City of London and you'll hear the term as much as you say yes or no.

The definition of the term "petro dollar" for you mate, you'll notice the currency that is mainly used in trading oil.

The petrodollar is any U.S. dollar paid to oil-exporting countries in exchange for oil. The dollar is the preeminent global currency. As a result, most international transactions, including oil, are priced in dollars. Oil-exporting nations receive dollars for their exports, not their own currency.

I'm aware of what it refers too (as I hinted at above) but the way you are using it, to essentially deride a certain country and their economy is really problematic, and I would stop it.

I doubt you would ever use it about those on the other end of said transaction (I.e towards those from the US).

Watch the kopites try and invent a rivalry with this lot now over the next few seasons

I'm very sceptical this will amount to much, but the terror from certain reds tells you their fear.

If it is the real deal sort of takeover, they will lose out most. City/Chelsea have backing to compete with it. United have a far bigger more developed brand (and lets face it, a poor United last season is still better than a very good Liverpool). But Liverpool face being bumped down further. You can feel the existential dread.

But since day 1, hasnt football always been partially corrupted by wealthy individuals? WhY do you think John Houlding did for Everton and Liverpool in the 19th century?

Sky do that anyway with that 4-3 game that happened about 30 years ago

One game

I really dont get the love around that game. It was a good game. But neither team won the league. And Newcastle through it away in much more dramatic style after that game.

The saddest part is Newcastle fans buzzing off that game.

It's not racist though, is calling non Arab countries of Norway, Venezuela, Canada, where all threecountries biggest exports are oil and natural gas, who trade their oil and natural gas in Dollars.

All three countries are defined as Petro Dollar countries as well though.

I lived in the USA for nearly 6-7 years but back i'm back in England, and i don't see if calling the USA a petro dollar country to say a someone from a oil state in the USA of Texas or a California would be in any turn problematic, why would it be, only person i've seen it as problematic is you Mate, for some reason you define a business term that was created in the 1970's when Saudi arabia signed a deal with the USA to use the American Dollar to trade their oil, then after that the 15 members of OPEC (The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) then Canada and Norway, then the african countries of "Nigeria Angola ) soon followed suit then all became the countries known as "Petro Dollar countries", Arab, White, African countries all sharing the term together proudly in harmony and peace.

It's really really strange why you find it offensive.

It was a great game of football.

Maybe it sticks in my mind cos the way Sky have pushed it over the years, but it was a wonderful game of footy.

There’s about 20 games like that every season, but they don’t all involve Liverpool on the winning side so don’t get pushed as The Greatest Game of All Time™

If that game had gone 4-3 to Newcastle it’d never ever get mentioned.

It was. All except the result, but if you can cooly remove yourself from the situation and see it from a neutral standpoint it was an edge of the seat game for pretty much most of it.

It's really really strange.

Well someone else has already said its racist on this thread.

And I've never seen you label the US, Norway, Venezuala or Canada petro dollar states. Nor have you used the label- insultingly I may add- towards citizens of those countries who happen to be involved in other businesses as "petro dollar clubs" or whatever ridiculous phrase you use. It seems to be reserved exclusively for Arabic countries, or Arabs working abroad.

You also tend to do it with a spite, anger and plethora of insults and nastiness directed towards them that lacks any modicum of proportionality.

My suspicion is you dont like Muslims/Arabs and you struggle to keep that under control.
