Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

They are currently second from bottom of the league and absolute gash.

There priority should be sorting out now, but that utter weirdo fanbase have probably already been booking flights and hotels in Munich and Paris for their 2023 Champions League games.

They will spend big in January and clubs will absolutely rinse them. Hopefully this includes us with Davies, Holgate and Iwobi.

I think it is, the money won't disappear after its all wasted, their wealth isn't comparable to our owner or lesser clubs but right up there with PSG and City (in fact probably more than City). Their state backing will be huge and there for the long term.

I said it won't be any overnight transformation as such is impossible considering rules and practicality but it'll happen over the next ten years.

It will happen, will just take time. We dont know if they are in it like City owners are .

City owners have transformed that area of Manchester, and built something special that will allow CIty to be amongst the elite for decades.

Moshiri is trying the same / similar with our new dockside / City centre home.

Im sure the new Newcastle chaps will be thinking the same, Newcastle are already City Centre based, so im sure they have huge plans to bring in more money.

Im no expert, but how much more can they generate, they cant get any tourism can they ? Maybe sporting events, hotels & Casino's ??!

Either way, its very exciting for the Geordies, and the main point for them, is they will be rid of Mike Ashley.

That's just stupid fans for you isn't it? Fans starved of any league success for pretty much one hundred years (last league title 1927) will expect some sort of magical transformation overnight, it won't happen - nothing like.

Relegation may come this year but to my mind the new owners are looking longer term, while relegation will still be a major setback it won't be absolutely the disaster it would have been. I'd expect them to come straight back up anyway tbh.

I dont think Newcastle even have a trainnig ground they own.

People dont realise how smal-time NEwcastle are OFF the pitch, they have a long way to go to catch up.

I remember in the "glory days", they used to train at colleges and school's, while having a few International players.

Why would it have been a disaster under Ashley? It’s happened twice before but due to his shrewd running of the club they’ve been effectively able to blitz the competition in the Championship and come straight back up.

I keep reading this yet everytime I’ve been there they must hide it away. It’s a dump around there and somewhere I wouldn’t wanna be walking round late at night.

I’d doubt they have been racking up debts like we have over the last few years though.
That will let them spend immediately.

Even if they spend £100 million...thats still less than Leeds have spent in 18 months.

The amount of money they will need, is huge.

They could go around £300 million over 3 years, not exactly huge. But its a start, and is exciting for them.

You must have had your eyes closed then.

They have a mini stadium for the academy and womans team, the best training facility in the world, the best acad and development centre in the country, the best at almost every age.

Bars/ food places all over the place.

They have built a music venue, that will hold around 12k, they have a casino opening soon.

All this is worth £££ and adds to the assets the club have.
