What is Sam's non-loss percentage? Because gaining a draw rather than being walloped 4-1 by a midtable side is quite useful when you are in a relegation battle.
Over his career I couldn't tell you, but it was less than 50% last year at Palace, so pretty similar to where we are now. Guarantees improvement though.

If it happened would you not at least wait for 4 or 5 games before deciding that it was a disastrous mistake?

What if SA is appointed and he doesn't win a game between now and January, will that not be Moshiris fault as well?

Essentially it doesn't matter who he appoints... it will all come down to how we perform. Regardless of who is appointed if we don't improve Moshiri will be blamed - if I was in his situation I'd probably take the gamble now when we have 75 points still to play for in the league... appoint SA now and if it doesn't go well there's not much you can do really... appoint Fonseca and at least if he tanks he'd probably be sacked by end of Jan and SA would be in anyway.
If we appoint Fonseca now after entering into negotiations with Sam and not choosing him for the second time I think it would eliminate him from the equation if needed in January. Hes not likely to listen to us for a third time and may already be managing one of our relegation rivals by then.

So nobody is any the wiser to who we might get, can see this dragging on past the weekend........ 2 winnable home games and we will get 0 from them!

Cant the board see they are costing us points with their dithering and incompetency...

...Allardyce odds-on again.

I wonder if Kenwright is chasing the services of Allardyce and Moshiri doing the same with Fonseca. They can have an office each, we can have rotating managers.

i think the 3 names short-list comes from Walsh, Moshiri and kenwright each having a name on it tbh mate

And QSF and Mazzari at Watford who steadied a championship team into a decent premier league one.

Apart from them as well.

There have been loads of pants ones as well. Don’t get me wrong. But it’s just stupid to suggest that hiring from abroad is some insane risk (provided the manager in question has decent experience) as all evidence suggests otherwise.

In this case, this is a fella who has won cups and leagues and managed a very good champions league team.

I’d rather that than someone who has rarely finished in the top half of the table and never won a cup (in 25 years of trying).

i disagree, Hodgson and Allardyce dont often get the push.

Well Hodgson is a God in Sweden but he was sacked by Bristol, Blackburn and Liverpool ("mutual")... Fulham, West Brom and Palace are the clubs in England he's managed where he wasn't sacked.

Allardyce was sacked by Blackpool, Newcastle, Blackburn, West Ham (contract not renewed) and England. His successes were Notts County, Bolton, Sunderland and Palace.

Maybe it's less than average but I would've thought Allardyce's record isn't fantastic...
