How many of sir Alex former players have failed at management? And he's one of the best. So they've learnt a few things but it's not made them good managers.

Arteta is Pep's assistant, so he's actually learning the coaching side of things from him rather than some Scottish motivational talk. It's pretty clear that there's something different in the way some of these modern coaches coach, an advancement in methods if you like, and he's right in the middle of it.

The last manager to have 2 wingers in the most used XI for the season was Moyes. So any manager who breaks this streak is fine by me

Interesting that Moyes had no premiership experience, whereas Koeman did. Though Moyes seemed to get Everton and I think that's a big thing.

The romantic in me wants Unsworth to go a few steps further than Moyes. And preferably, a bit quicker!

I'm not so sure. He always talked as if top ten should be the height of our ambitions.

Nobody knows if Guardiola (or Arteta) could do it for a club that didn’t have limitless funds?

It’s a lot easier to play fantasy football when you have blistering pace all over the park & the best player money can buy.

And I’m not sure Everton fans could take a season of fullbacks playing centre mid & keepers who can’t make saves.
