How many of sir Alex former players have failed at management? And he's one of the best. So they've learnt a few things but it's not made them good managers.
Arteta is Pep's assistant, so he's actually learning the coaching side of things from him rather than some Scottish motivational talk. It's pretty clear that there's something different in the way some of these modern coaches coach, an advancement in methods if you like, and he's right in the middle of it.
 

Nobody knows if Guardiola (or Arteta) could do it for a club that didn’t have limitless funds?

It’s a lot easier to play fantasy football when you have blistering pace all over the park & the best player money can buy.

And I’m not sure Everton fans could take a season of fullbacks playing centre mid & keepers who can’t make saves.
