I don't think we need a manager.
A better plan would be GOT to vote on tactics and line ups in polls created by @tommye or @AndyC.

All polls would be public, so, if we lost, we would then ( literally ) crucify the posters who voted for the tactics and personnel.
As well as making the game for interactive for the fans, it'd save six million or so a year, which we could share amongst ourselves in match day beers.

I can't see any viable options other than Unsworth or Allardyce, and there is no way that Sam would be interested on a short-term contract, and you wouldn't blame him.

But he just isn't for Everton, even if he would get us very comfortably into the top half. Oh dear how expectations have fallen, the board will be chuffed.

Unsworth is a risk, but it's a bigger risk doing nothing. I think it's his to lose sooner or later.
