Amazed that neither Koeman nor apparently Unsworth can see that the main issue is the defence. They should have been blocking up every hole at the back and going for sneaky 1-0s from September 1st, given the clear deficiencies of the whole back line. One of the things Moyes always did without fail was eventually sort out the defence during a rot. Usually within 3 games.

I think there's an aura that we've got a squad better than we have.

End of the day we relied on Lukaku and Barkley a lot. We don't have them and when you look at it no other team in the top 10 would want any of our players....bar Pickford.

We honestly need to pack the midfield and start playing direct.

There is no doubt TT is a fine manager but for us the right manager at the wrong time.

However our situation is now so bad , this group of players so unbalanced and bereft of confidence that we cannot afford to take a chance with a manager who has no experience in this country.

Very sadly I am driven to the conclusion that we need a manager who knows the league and up until January when we can bring in desperately needed replacements can shore up the defence and make us hard to beat.

Unfortunately that points to Dyche , Allardyce and even , possibly , Moyes.

I think we underestimate the perilous position that we are in at our cost.

So basically you wouldn't hire Tuchel because he is a risk, but two of the three you suggest have managed a team which has been relegated from this league?

No what we actually need is a manager who doesn't pick people on reputation or for fear of dropping them

Koeman tried to squeeze in every player he bought, regardless of the shape or positions they'd be playing in

Unsworth has bounced the opposite way and dropped nearly all the new signings and gone for the players he knows - either from the under 23's or long term pro's at the club - Mirallas, Lennon etc

We need to be playing Sigurdsson in his preferred position, and pick the team around him

Come January - every person involved in the transfer decisions and getting players over the line need removing from their posts, Walsh, Kenwright, Elstone - them combined with Koeman are responsible for spending 150m to make the team massively worse.

We need someone with the bollocks to realise that the problems in this team come from having a spine of Jagielka (35) Williams (33) Baines (32) and Rooney (32).

We need to bin this obsession with playing DCL - a striker who in 21 league games for us has scored 1 league goal against Hull at Goodison, should be nowhere near the team, simply put he's a striker who does not score goals.

We need to bin off Gueye - an all action defensive midfielder whose stats and highlight videos look great, but who has absolutely zero defensive discipline - first half yesterday like many othe rgames Leicester countered and Gueye is ahead of their counter and effectively taken himself out the game - leaving a 20-30 yard space for them to run into at the back four, with our back four we can't have that - we need someone with the discipline to sit in and protect them - and shockingly that looks like Baningime.

Don't think we can afford to wait in order to give Unsworth a 'few more games'. The club should already have approached our shortlisted targets for manager, and if they haven't, they need to do it ASAP.

This squad is going to need major surgery in January, so we need to give our next manager as much time as possible with the team to ensure that he can make up his mind about who should stay and who should go.

I’m almost 100% certain we’ve approached not a soul.

I think we would find ways to score if we had a solid defence. Looks to me like a team too fearful in attack because the defence is so bad. The way out of this is clean sheets generating the confidence to attack. There is the striker issue but there’s clearly enough up there to get chances and goals.

Love Rhino but I think the solution will need regime change. Everyone needs a fresh start, new faces and new ideas. Unsy has some ideas but I don’t think it presses the reset switch hard enough. We didn’t even get the honeymoon, which suggests the players didn’t have a big issue with Koeman.

A lot has to be said for the lack of organisation with the defence and midfield. I've said our last two games we've looked more balanced in attack but the back 4 is a mess with no protection.

Honestly needs one of Morgan, Besic, McCarthy starting

Tuchel will never come here if he has any sense, this is a potentially career killing job.

I'm fully in the Sean Dyche camp now, a proven specialist at getting awful players punching above their weight. And if the unthinkable should happen and we go down, I'd keep him, let him have a proper go at clearing this mess out and starting from scratch.

The safest pair of hands to steady the ship for you is Big Sam IMO. He’d organise your defence he managed it with a back 4 of Jones,Kone,Kaboul,PVA with us. In fact we lost only something of 2 out of 16 games under him during the 2nd half of the 2015/16 season. And don’t think he’s teams play total turgid football we played some good stuff under him

I’m sure he’d do a job for you until the summer

We need a new man to come in and pick players on strength not loyalty. Someone who will come on and see the like a of lewen and say this lad isn't scoring, so I'll play someone else instead. Someone who will drop Williams for not being good enough, someone who will pick our best 11 and not shoehorn favourites / mates / new signings in together and hope they work

My biggest worry is that whoever we bring in will essentially be a yes man still rather than a genuine change and nothing will change in terms of team selection.
