Unfortunately I think we've put ourselves into a situation which rules the likes of Tuchel out, if he'd even consider it that is... We just can't afford to have two months of him failing to adapt to this league leaving us cut adrift.

Right now we probably need someone who can steady the ship which is a dreadful thing to say as it surrenders our ambitions of anyone taking us seriously in the near future.

So basically you wouldn't hire Tuchel because he is a risk, but two of the three you suggest have managed a team which has been relegated from this league?

No what we actually need is a manager who doesn't pick people on reputation or for fear of dropping them

Koeman tried to squeeze in every player he bought, regardless of the shape or positions they'd be playing in

Unsworth has bounced the opposite way and dropped nearly all the new signings and gone for the players he knows - either from the under 23's or long term pro's at the club - Mirallas, Lennon etc

We need to be playing Sigurdsson in his preferred position, and pick the team around him

Come January - every person involved in the transfer decisions and getting players over the line need removing from their posts, Walsh, Kenwright, Elstone - them combined with Koeman are responsible for spending 150m to make the team massively worse.

We need someone with the bollocks to realise that the problems in this team come from having a spine of Jagielka (35) Williams (33) Baines (32) and Rooney (32).

We need to bin this obsession with playing DCL - a striker who in 21 league games for us has scored 1 league goal against Hull at Goodison, should be nowhere near the team, simply put he's a striker who does not score goals.

We need to bin off Gueye - an all action defensive midfielder whose stats and highlight videos look great, but who has absolutely zero defensive discipline - first half yesterday like many othe rgames Leicester countered and Gueye is ahead of their counter and effectively taken himself out the game - leaving a 20-30 yard space for them to run into at the back four, with our back four we can't have that - we need someone with the discipline to sit in and protect them - and shockingly that looks like Baningime.
Tell me how we get rid of kenwrong and elstone? Who at the club can do that? By then it will be too late.....dont think the much lauded Tuchel will come here anyway...what the hell has he achieved ? We may as well go for Wagner as him...at least he has prem experience ha ha.

Manager uncertainty doesn’t help. We need to get someone in ASAP and start from scratch.

Playing a different 11 every week doesn’t help either, we need someone to decide on a way of playing and stick to it and allow players to gel.

Grind some results out until Jan and get players in.

Won a trophy more than Klopp did in Klopps last three years at Dortmund, massively upped certain players performances at both Dortmund and Mainz, took Mainz a team with two prior seasons in the top flight and kept them between 5-11th for 5 seasons.

As for getting rid of those two, Moshiri is the majority owner - he has the option to buy them out, if the conditions haven't been triggered to allow that yet, then he simply removes the responsibility in transfer dealing from both men and gives them to someone who can actually get deals sorted rather than them.

If you always do what you’ve always done then you’ll always get what you’ve always got.

Unsworth came in and changed absolutely nothing sort from playing Aaron “I’m not taking a shot” Lennon.

Unfortunately it’s opportunity lost for Rhino.

Why was koeman sacked without a proper replacement lined up? Like we sold lukaku? Sheer board incompetence
Because we had no intention of sacking koeman mate. It was only another rout that the board personally watched that finally changed their minds, if we had free against arsenal koeman would still be here.

Sadly seems it makes no odds if he was here no not seeing as though the results are the same

I want somebody solid, i want somebody safe.

Pellegrini or Allardyce as they would organise and sort these clowns out.

Watford is now a massive game, we need somebody in today or tomorrow at the latest.

Can’t see it mate, theyll probably use the international break to get it sorted, though we need it done urgently

Amazed that neither Koeman nor apparently Unsworth can see that the main issue is the defence. They should have been blocking up every hole at the back and going for sneaky 1-0s from September 1st, given the clear deficiencies of the whole back line. One of the things Moyes always did without fail was eventually sort out the defence during a rot. Usually within 3 games.

It's not just the defence god sake it's the STRIKER department if you can't see that you need glasses.

There should have been someone already lined up. They've just sat their and hoped for a miracle that Unsworth would be the man when he's a million miles off bring good enough.

A couple of weeks ago they were utterly convinced that Koeman was still the right man for the job. Indeed, as recently as 12 days ago Koeman was telling the Press that the board were 100% "behind" him. They just couldn't accept that the slump might end up being a protracted one, that Koeman might eventually drag us into the bottom 3.

As such, no contingency planning was undertaken whatsoever.

As a consequence, we're in free fall and quite possibly many weeks away from appointing a real manager.

Total mess.

Thanks for putting it in caps. I can see it now.

My view is that sorting the defence would leave a better basis for attack. As bad as it is that we don’t have a striker, we have better players in the attacking positions than we do in the defensive positions. Sort out the defence and the rest will follow. I think that means sticking with a set back line, either a three or a four.
