The only thing that changed against Watford was their goalkeeper. Seriously in over 5 decades of watching us , I’ve never seen us benefit from so much good fortune.Yes, and I agree it was proper dire straits, money-for-nothing stuff (tho' Chelsea we played alright, to be fair).
But that last 20 mins vs Watford is what football is (sometimes) made of. That special moment when fortunes changes, form changes and things suddenly look brighter. Everyone feels it, from the players & coaches to the fans. Well, in this case not everyone as many Evertonians are understandably raw from so many past disappointments. Getting our hopes up only hurts more when things come crashing down...
Still, if I was making the big decisions, balancing the pros & cons of everything and the realities of the new-manager market, I'd still give Rhino the job until the end of the season. He, and our players, need at least to know where they stand for the foreseeable future.

We are in action this Saturday and still no news or appointment, can see this being dragged out which will not benefit us, we are still not safe!
The Everton board haven't got a clue who they want. Lard arse is an easy appointment but wants a lot of money. Dyche is a risk. Silva doesn't seem too keen and Unsy has been a disappointment.
To be fair I haven't got a clue either.
Keeping Unsworth in the job until the end of the year confuses me. Who is going to dictate who comes in the January window(if any, even tho we need...what, 3 minimum)? Who is to say that the new manager would even WANT those players?
