Sam Allardyce has ruled himself out of the running to become the next Everton manager.

“It never materialised as I thought it would, unfortunately,” Allardyce told talkSPORT.

“For me such a long time without a decision, I had to make a decision myself.

“The decision was it was probably better it wasn’t me, and I’d move on to something else. It would have been a fabulous job, but it just didn’t feel right.

“I think when you’re sat in my position you want people to be decisive and feel like they want you. I didn’t get that feeling overall.

“They were hesitating that I was the man.”

I'd expect Dyche to feel exactly the same way now.....would only be 4th choice at best.

I'm very much a glass half-full kind of person.
But we are beginning to look really stupid, aren't we.

With kenright involved there is always a possibility. Remembering him crying on sky when moyes told him he was off. He claimed he just had found out (april) !!!.moyes had being doing the dirt on everton since january.

So......is this Sam admitting he told lies when, less than a week ago, he said in a radio interview that Everton had not been in contact with him at all?

Or is he telling lies now?

Wasn't what he said exactly - that he had had no contact with Moshiri, so for me that would suggest someone else at the club had made contact about the job, and he was left waiting for a call off Moshiri that never came.

Top marks for Moshiri just leaving the fat waster hanging tbf

As we clearly aren't hiring anyone this week it means come Monday it's been a month since we sacked koeman and not replaced him?

Has any club gone that long mid season to replace a manager?

God help the climate if we lose on saturday. Back into relegation battle no manager and a board that isn't too arses about it all

Maybe those at the top have finally realised it doesn’t matter who we appoint, we are completely irrelevant as far as football goes these days
