Truth of the matter is some fans just want to go back to the comfort zone that Moyes provided rather than accept his time has come and gone,I have seen shouts for Stubbs, people saying give Osman and Hibbert coaching roles,we have the chance to take a very big step forward but some supporters want to take baby steps

Some fans are idiots

Which was the right thing to do, there appears to be a silent opinion here that's not being heard. Personally I'd like to hear it, without accusations. A "Moyes In' thread isn't necessary, but I think it's important to hear the other side for the sake of balance.

I think the answer is quite obvious why some would want him back.

1. Moyes represents stability and overachievment
2. He is safe
3. Some would want to see what he could do with money
4. They have very short memories/do not have ambition for this club...just safety.

The thing that they would be forgetting is that he simply is not a winner. So if not winning stuff, and being comfortably safe is your thing, I reckon I can see why some would want that.

I for one think it would be a massive step backwards for the club, and the majority of the fan base would be very angry.

No mate.

The poll was shared on our Facebook - thats were comments like so are from;

Regarding Moyes we won't have any players left if he took charge if bids came in:

David Moyes says Everton are blocking careers of United targets Fellaini and Baines
DAVID MOYES has accused his former club Everton of blocking the careers of Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines.

"He said: “I definitely do. But I also know that if I’d been Everton manager and Sir Alex Ferguson had come asking for Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini, I’d have found it very difficult to keep them, because I always felt the right thing to do was what was right for the players.”

This should not be forgotten

I agree Steve, as soon as Moyes comes in for our players like Kone, Naisse and the likes, we should tell him and Aston Villa to sod off.

Not getting the Everton job, move on, the man talks in the third person he is a knob.....

Voted Koeman now but would be more than happy with FDB.

Certain it will be one of those two.

One of those two or Pellegrini. Koeman has the Dutch edge as he has prem experience and every time I have seen hiim interviewed, he is no bullshit, knowledgable and professional, what we need for next phase. I would say Pellegrini is also in this category. De Boer, I just don't know, he is the riskier option.

I'd be very happy with Koeman. Always been my first choice.

So the obvious has happened and that joke of a manager has joined the scum, I started dreaming then woke up and realise that this is Everton!!
No matter who we get I'll support you forever, your in my heart your in my soul.
Please Everton, do your fans the justice we deserve and prove that we are a big club.

Koeman is a myth also he is a good manager far from a great one.

Moyes was doing what has done with a smaller squad and a smaller budget.

We want someone to take us into the next level not just be solid.

Pointless appointment

All I want is for someone to make me proud to be an Evertonian! Did you see Hibs today? Stubbsy for the blues

Here is a strange thing for me. Davek argued ferociously and eloquently in defense of Martinez, but then after he stopped posting, as If out of tribute, many adopted his avatar. Even though his opinions were often derided. I think it was a compliment of the highest order.

Even though we may disagree with someone vehemently, they are still to be respected and not shut down. Even if they are perceived to be wrong, isn't it shameful to quieten their voice? So if someone wants Moyes as our next manager, even though I think it's madness, I'd value that opinion because it challenges my own. That's always a good thing. So as far as polls go, Moyes should definitely stay there, until the day he is accepted as manager of Villa.

We need to look at the possibility that top Managers won't come here. We may need to settle for that tier below. Which annoys the heck out of me just writing that!
