I didn't say we were going to do a Leicester.

You're a goon if you think finishing in the top 10 is acceptable or should be an "aim".

Teams like Southampton and West Ham will be aiming for higher than that.

And rightly so they finished 5th and 7th respectively this season not consecutive 11th place finishes you moron.

I don't get this obsession with us having young managers. Martinez was young but it didn't stop him being an absolute stinker of a manager. If we can't get Emery we should go for Pellegrini.

In a choice between two equally-talented managers where one is younger and the other older, the choice will always be for the younger one. Because everyone wants a 20-year, trophy-laden dynasty at their club.

But even beyond that, younger people are better at trying and learning new things. That's a neurological fact.

Of course, older people have the benefit of wisdom and experience, and that certainly has its place in the game. But I think we're all crying out for tactical flexibility after the previous regime.

You're more likely to get that from a younger manager. You're also more likely to get a sense of drive, a desire to prove themselves.

I'd rather a younger manager who's keen to learn, who still has ambition, than a Pelligrini for whom the only draw of Everton is that he won't have to move.

He won the league three times and a cup in Spain. Doesn't sounds too bad for me. Ranieri "failed" in his whole career, he was always second best and look at him now.

Koeman is proven in this league and perfectly knows how to win on the field. Couldn't ask for more if we can't get Mourinho.
He gets my vote even over Mourinho. Simply down to the fact that he has a history of developing youth. Big issue for me seeing the great youth academy we seem to have

Not interested how many he won as a player mate.
Some might said it doesn't matter but if you're a player, you want to learn from the best I guess. He played for one of the best sides in the history, he's well known and respected. Bet his players absolutely love to work with him - bar Valencia maybe, but I think he learned his lesson.

That's a good point, but it seems we'll never know how's Mourinho doing without some big dough to spend. He's a pragmatist, maybe under different circumstances he could use academy to much better effect. At Chelsea, Real or Inter he was under pressure to deliver trophies and he did everything to achieve it. If he was about to rebuild the club he could act differently. But that's just guessing, hope he fails at United lol

So the obvious has happened and that joke of a manager has joined the scum, I started dreaming then woke up and realise that this is Everton!!
No matter who we get I'll support you forever, your in my heart your in my soul.
Please Everton, do your fans the justice we deserve and prove that we are a big club.

How come the change of heart about Jose? What caused him to slip in your affections?

This is so typical of how many of this forums minds work. If a manager/player that they really want is not coming, then he is utter bad anyway..

Hmmmm he went to az after Valencia and got sacked after losing 7 of his first 16 games in charge.

Also out of all the clubs he has managed I can't see any evidence of him starting a project from scratch and making it successful.
