I hear, albeit slightly tenuously (through Moshiri - Isle of Man business connections) that Koeman is the preferential candidate & the name being actively pursued.

His current employment being somewhat of a stumbling block.

As a caveat I am the worst ITK candidate ever but where this has come from does carry some legitimacy.

I'd be very happy with him also.

Sadly I believe this to be true.
It,s a safe option which I think is the wrong option.
Winners breed Winners - GET EMERY

its amazing how many of my friends think we wouldnt have a hope with emery, most have them havent got a clue about moshiris investment ...really gone under the radar(or more likely people arent interested in everton lol)

Emery failed in Russia in the past and gave a deep impression to him, he said the main reason is language and thus poor communication with players, therefore I don't think he will rush to Premier League until he improve his English, he will not take a risk again, he will stay at Sevilla one more year, he can learn English this year and has much more choices when his contract ended next year. He have a job, he can play CL next season, he is no need to go PL so rush.....

Stick Arteta next to him and BOOM that takes care of your poor communication.

DoF - get Overmars in if he is that highly rated, knows the league inside and out
Manager - Get Emery - the best out their we can attract
Coach - get Arteta in, knows the league well, knows the club very well

All 3 speak spanish as well which is a nice plus

The Emery one though, biggest worry is we either leave it too long and he goes elsewhere or that by the time we act that Sevilla team has had a few of the players he'd like to bring with him already snapped up off them

True. If I was Pep I would be locking down Aretea now to a new assistant manager position in City.

Emery does not speak Russian
According to pretty respected journos in the Telegraph he can actually speak English at an ok level nowadays, strong rumours that he did actually start learning English a few years back as well, remember how everyone thought Pocchetino didn't speak English until it was revealed he did but wasnt comfortable doing itnerviews etc - same situation here

I remember his time at Moscow mate, he didn't fail - they just had crackpot owners who sacked him undeservingly

From your own perspective though mate, wouldn't you love to see him as manager of Everton, taking charge in a Derby and completely outclassing Klopp like he did the other night in front of the watching world?

Until we actually start spending money it will continue to go under the radar.
