Honestly though, last season when we had nowhere near the ambition have now if we'd have mentioned Koeman you all would have huffed.

Now we have the massive ambition and Koeman is flavour of the month owing to a pretty good half of the season you're all creaming your kecks.

Ridiculous.

Tbf he got a great win rate overall

My pick would be Andre Villas Boas.
  • Killed it at Porto when he was younger then some of the players.
  • Took on Chelsea when he was way too young, only 33 and the ego's in the dressing room undermined him.
  • Bounced back with Spurs, lead them to 72pts in a season, before losing Bale and had to rebuild.
  • Has done very well with Zenit.
Still only 39. Available and free. Chelsea had paid £15M for his release from Porto back in the day.

Didn't he have an inform bale and still won nothing

Ok went to bed with the esk saying things had moved quickly and it was a good day, then wake up to stories about Moyes? Please god no!!

Can't understand the negativity surrounding Koeman.
  • Knows the league
  • Can clearly spot a player
  • CL winner, name that deserves respect
  • Can set up a defence
  • Plays a formation that fits available players
  • Adaptive during a game
Yet a fella who can't speak English has almost double the votes.

Koeman isn't "sexy" but he's a good step up on our past two.
The only real benefit I see with going for Koeman as opposed to Emery is Premier League experience. Things like knowing how to play a formation that best suits the squad are basics qualities that any half decent manager should have.

It seems more and more likely that Koeman will be our next manager, and I really want to have faith in him. But I'm just not seeing it. I think he's a decent manager, but getting Southampton to punch above their weight in what was a truly awful league this past season is a little underwhelming.

Clearly both good managers.....but still can't fathom why Emery has almost double the votes.

I suspect it's because he's not as familiar therefore perceived to be more exciting.

Anyway, big step up from 3 summers ago

It could be that Emery is more high potential then Koeman

He done better the pochettino when he was at Southampton
