A living Simpson.

Ah yes Pako whatshisface!

we are currently the only decent job left on the market!

Thats curently open - i think so, ofc there will likely be a few more moves in the next few weeks, rumours about both Milan jobs and Napoli for example, ofc if Emery or Koeman arrived then that would open up a decent one their too

Dutch Newspaper says Koemans priority is a new contract at Southampton

Wouldn't think the papers know what's going on in truth.

The only worry about Koeman is, if we are holding out for him and he is playing us to get a better deal at Saints, or has been told stay calm and the Arsenal job is his eventually.

I would imagine he is pretty ambitious and feels he deserves a chance at a CL club. The only pull we have to him is Moshri's money and that being sold to him as what we want to become. We have a lot of catching up to do.

Of the candidates known to be in the frame, two are currently available and two under contract. If Pellegrini or de Boer were the first choice candidates then there would be no reason to not conclude the deal and announce our new manager.

The two other candidates are Koeman and Emery, both still under contract, and it's not fully established whether we have met or will meet Emery at all.

Sound logic that. I'm also glad that we haven't jumped at the two who are out of contract, though I wouldn't be upset if we went with either one.

There's no suggestion we are going to meet Moyes. All that's been reported is that Kenwright had a call with Moyes over the vacancy - what was said, and what the call was about is not reported neither.

The whole Moyes episode is being blown out of the water. It's not going to happen.
any knowledge whether any of the Emery talk is true?

I've put a lot of faith in The Esk's optimistic posts. The high profile candidates, the stadium news, the reported £100m transfer war chest have all supported his ITK status.

Heavily hinting that it will be Koeman, but also said Pellegrini had gone to Zenit!!

We are entering the final straight.

We held on for Jose, pipe dream or not. Now we are waiting on Emery, if he swerves us we will give Koeman a now or never, then move on to Pellegrini, De Boer is back up.

10 days MAX.

actually think that is pretty close to the situation mate

Do you still think RK is most likely Esk, in your personal opinion?

he didn't mate, he said that Zenit had made a VERY substantial offer to Pelligrini once he got full information, he never said he would take it, obviously he didn't

If Koeman is that ambitious then wouldn't he be more interested in Southampton's plans for player investment than the size of his next deal there?
