Aye mate, he has built two very very good teams from next to nothing in Villareal and Malaga, both from solid defenses but great going forward as well, had a bit of money both times ofc - but still impressive none the less

His time at Villareal and Malaga show he would be sound for us.

If Martinez goes, which is debatable, then a steady, experienced "name" is a must for me. Would prefer Martinez to deliver personally, but becoming more and more doubtful he can/will.

If Jose goes to UTD, Conte goes to Chelsea..surely Simeone would fancy a stab at the Premier League with us?

I dont really know where that leaves him in terms of the next step for his own career considering he has been overlooked for all the top jobs??

Competing with a team of wealth (which we will be now on) alongside Jose, Conte, Pep, Klopp, Rafael, Wenger, Koeman and maybe Pellegrini would surely be an attractive proposition?!
