Koemans everton will be massively different to Moyes Everton.

Success is no longer a bonus.. Its expected (once the dust settles) and will no doubt be drawn into the managers contract.

It could have been written in Moyes or Martinez contract, it still won't be achieved.......

I know I'm in the minority here...but I'm totally fine with rom going, heads gotten too big for me.
I completely agree, I just think it will be difficult to convince a top quality striker to come to us atm and a 20+ goal a season striker is vital to make it into the top 4 imo. I guess next season will be all about rebuilding and mending the damage RM done.

No it won't. It'll just be where we would have finished this year bar 3 or 4 substitutional mistakes.......

One cannot quote 3 or 4 mistakes to show that we would have finished higher. The same criterion can be applied to every team in the Prem. Brutal fact is that after 38 games, you finish where you deserve to be, based on the performances of the team on the pitch, the Manager's team selection, team set-up, substitutions, etc.. What you say is somewhat akin to Richie Benaud's famour quote while commentating: "...And Glenn McGrath dismissed for two, just 98 runs short of his century..." We wudda finished higher if we wuuda done better = I would have scored a lot of runs if I hadn't got out...!!! ;)

What alternative are you looking for, exactly? By the best accounts available we've spoken to Mourinho, approached Simeone and offered Emery a contract. None of those three worked out. We interviewed Pellegrini and deemed him unsuitable. Where do you see a better option than Koeman that's realistically available at this point?
That's just it. Until we have to offer CL football the top end Managers are not touching us. Moshiri or not.

Hillsborough jokes the other week, went into hiding didn't he.

His postings on here are very similar to his last few tweets. Rather worrying.

Not as worrying as wrapping this deal up for Ronald like.

Wow.... Looking at his tweets yeah looks to be the same person.

It's not a couple of years ago. We have a new owner and we are in a totally different place financially. We can afford anyone on the planet limited only by our own lack of self belief.......
I dont think its a lack of self belief Pete,if rumours are true being linked with Emery,Jose,Pellegrinni etc shows the difference already

A couple of years ago the list would have read,Howe,Moyes2,Hughes,and a couple of others this time we have been linked with a better class of manager,if it was the RS bringing Koeman in half the whoppers on here would be saying what a great appointment it was,he has got Southampton to finish in a great position for them and thats after players getting sold

The thing is, I am not sure Koeman is a "higher class of manager" than those you mention :(

To me he is that self same "middle of the road" type of manager but because he has the perceived advantage of being foreign we are judging him by a different yardstick

Put it this way.....if he was British instead of Dutch, I honestly think we would all be feeling a bit deflated with Ronald coming aboard.

It could have been written in Moyes or Martinez contract, it still won't be achieved.......
Nah, Moyes job was to stay in the league.
Martinez told Bill he would get him champions league.
Doubt Bill came back with "ok then Roberto, if you don't I can sack you for nothing"

We are now playing with the big boys with an owner who is advised correctly and isn't an evertonian, so he can make tough decisions.. Like moving grounds.

I'm dead excited.
