But Koeman's won just as much as them?

Yeh, he's been a real failure...
Ajax
Benfica
PSV
Valencia
AZ Alkmaar
I always appreciate your points Zat, even if I don't agree with them, because it's clear that you have an opinion on how you like footy to be played and wanting the best for Everton.

But you're chatting utter wham at the moment - and this insistence that FDB or Cocu are 'proven from the ground up' - yet RK isn't - is either a blatant attempt at a wind up or, if it's seriously your thought process, a bit worrying?

In holland he won the league with the favourites then nosedived. He also almost lost the league aftef imploding at PSV but AZ didnt beat the bottom side on the last day so he sneaked in then was gone soon after.

benfica they thought he was a weirdo and they finished 3rd in a 3 team league he won the damn portuguese supercup with them which is hardly amazing lol

valencia won copa del rey and was sacked before he relegated them. A team that was 3rd ths season before and back to 5th once emery took over. He also had players file cases against him.

AZ he was sacked after 3 months.

Couldnt get a job until feyenoord hired him and he stabalized them (his best time as a manager imo)

then takes over southampton.

its not just about looking at what hes won but what happened next.

So lets ignore his career and focus on the last 2 seasons.

Why do you think he hasnt had the money back to spend?

What top players has he convinced to stay there based upon his amazing managerial skills?
Yes. Focus on the last 2 years as he has been manager in the premiership then. Why would you even think about what he has done anywhere else.
He hasn't had the money to spend as that's what sort of of club Southampton are.
It will be a lot easier to convince players to stay with us than it would their.

I've jumped on sky bets generous offerings
Already had a 10er on koeman at 9/1 from few weeks back
Stuck a 5er on Emery and de boer both at 16/1 just in case

Koeman rebuilt Southampton when they lost a lot of players maybe that's what we're looking at givin we could loose up to 8 to 10 players this summer.
That's true but it wasn't exactly Messi they lost out on. They got what, 25 million for Llalana, Lambert was on his arse, Lovren was a mess none of them players are irreplacable. Shaw has legs made of paper, Schniderlin is just your run of the mill DM the only player who I think was a big loss and a top top player was Clyne. They got way way WAY over the odds money wise for dross to strengthen again and to be fair he done well in the transfer market. He's an above average manager imo.

i think going for a steady manager who is proven in getting results in the premiership is the right way to go, emery could be brilliant but not managing in the premier league before he could have been a complete flop, if we have a another terrible season we would find it really difficult to attract players and would make progress v difficult

The Southampton Echo clutching at straws a little bit there suggesting that Everton haven't requested permission to speak with Koeman therefore talks wouldn't have taken place. That - unfortunately - is not how modern football works. How advanced any talks are is anyone's guess but the papers seem to have been told something's happening, whether that's from our camp or Koeman's so some talks must of happened.
I'm also getting increasingly agitated with stories suggesting we are a backwards or sideways step! two poor seasons under Martinez, prior to that we were regularly finishing as best of the rest and the only reason we couldn't break that glass ceiling was because we were operating on a shoe string budget. With the money there and an ambitious owner there is no reason we can't push for top 4 or better. Southampton can't do that. Whilst we're trying to buy the best players we can they'll still be acting as Liverpool's feeder club.
