Agree with thst thought.

Going back three years, people can't appreciate exactly what Moyes did for this team. Granted as a reign it achieved nothing of accomplishment but the foundation there was for us, world class. Martinez first season showed just how good the foundation was, and this season alone showed how bad it was without it.

I said it weeks before today thst I wanted koeman to come in. Not the exciting name but he will do what Moyes did, and despite the very short mindsets of fans on here, thst is what we need. We need a squad again, we need defensive solidarity, we need to be able to win games, and see out games.

What many on here won't comprehend in their short sightedness is koeman for the first real time in his career has money to invest. He can build something, he doesn't have to sell his team. Where would Southampton be if they hadn't sold so many first team players? We can find out now.

So many people outside of this fan Base hold koeman in High regard, including Southampton. Now we can find out why, and get behind a manager who will put this team back into a winning mentality again.

Excellent post!

Koeman will deffo see us as a stepping stone, the thing is though, if one of Europe's elite come in for him after a few years here, and as you say, it will mean Koeman has done a boss job with us.

And as far as I am concerned Koeman is a stepping stone for us.

I expect our next manager to be of a higher calibre than him.

So the ambitions of Everton and Koeman are mutually inclusive :)

He does well with us and his dream move is on.

And if we have done well with him we can pick our new manager from a classier field.

It's all good ;)

Forster, is a absolute rock (signed a five year contract about a month ago). Fonte and Van Dijk is superb. Bertrand is a top 5 left-back in the league in my bias opinion. Wanyama is a monster when he can be arsed. Mane is our best attacking player by a mile. Tadic got more goals+assists combined last year than Payet despite coming off the bench for 1/3rd of the matches.

At least RK will know Forsters get out clause.

He will go for him big time.

And...Mr Moshiri has shown if the Manager's performance doesn't match his ambitions, money is not an object to replace him.

Mosh isn't rich enough to turn this club around. Can't understand where this fortune coming from? He never said anything.
