The translation didn't work out too well - "Everton has another year continuous contract"- does that mean a one year rolling contract £5M per year or we've paid £5M to buy him out of his contract?
How is that the figure when he is getting half that at Southampton?

They are few and far between mate lol
Oh right mate ;)...for a minute there i had all kind of visions of you & couldn't decide which one you might resemble...

...good to see your a wholesome lad though!!

Just looked at the other manager markets on paddy power. Koeman is favourite to be next manager at both Arsenal and Barcelona.

Can't work out if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

Just you watch. If we win the league next year with the exact same squad + a couple of youth players people will start complaining how money changed us.

I'm a saints fan, from everything thats been said and from our own ITK, seems like Koeman is on his way to you guys. I'm sad to see him go, he did us a very good turn, and really helped the club in a hard time for us.

Disappointed to see him go, but I have faith that we will find a good manager to succeed him, and that our club is in safe hands. Slightly suprised to see him go to you guys, your definitely the bigger club, but after two years of hard work with us and another crack at Europa this season, it's slightly surprising he would give that up, for rebuilding a struggling team (even with the promise of huge investment.)

A question to you Everton fans, with City, United, Wet Spam, Chelski and you lot all planning on big overhauls of your squads and spending X hundred million, do you think A) there are enough good players out there, for all these big clubs? B) By saying you have 150 million to spend aren't you opening yourselves up to overpaying massively on players, as clubs know you have cash to burn?
The short answer would be that in football there are always risks. There are enough good players IMO, and PL teams are already paying a premium.

A long answer would be that I think we already have the nucleus of a good squad already. Baines + Coleman have the capacity to be the best fullback pairing in the league, Jags very solid defender, Stones potential to be a great. Funes Mori back up e.t.c.
Then Ross, Lukaku, Mirallas, Deulofeu e.t.c are all quality players.
What we lack is quality in midfield and in goal, as well as quality squad depth, particularly up front.
We also may well have to replace Lukaku.

The rebuild job isn't as big as you might think for a team that finished bottom half of the league two seasons running, Martinez had this squad majorly under-performing. Hopefully the club will bring in some quality players and Koeman will get what we already have and the new additions playing to a level which we know they are capable of.

Love to know what happened with Emery.... our ITK's said it was all but done on Wednesday. Did he pull out at the last minute forcing us to put in an offer that Koeman simply couldn't refuse. Did Koeman change his mind whilst sunning himself on holiday and prompt Everton to ruthlessly drop Emery. Or did Emery push his luck, make silly demands and we switched back to Koeman.

Then again maybe Emery was always dependant on us getting Monchi as well and if we couldn't get both our interest cooled. Anyone got any inside info on this?
