You realise were clearly absolutely fine with him being on holiday right because it's not a big deal what so ever
I'm sure Blackburn were fine about Roy coming back to sign on Monday and look how that turned out. I am not saying Everton aren't fine about it, but I think it's arrogant behaviour, regardless

I hate to say it SO EFFING early but this is not great. I read this week about Koeman taking on his manager in Dudeks book, and other stories. Thie downside of this guys confidence is his arrogance. Everton is not just another club. He needs to be able to get the club and make the fans feel great, Moyes was very good at this, Rafael xcellent. He's got a twenty million pound contract and he's kept us waitng ten King days to sign it. So what if he'd booked his hols, would you continue your hols in such a situation?
Can you imagine Mourinho keeping United waiting by going on holiday, or well, anyone?
It smacks of arrogance, and it's the sort of big time Charlie behaviour that you might be able to get away with at Soton but entirely not here.

A lot I can agree with there.

I was thinking myself that one would be so excited by a new challenge like this, going on holiday was the last thing one would want to do, such was one's excitement.

It smacks of "yeah, what's the big blooming deal.....it is only a stepping stone anyway".

Then I remember we ain't in Kansas no moah.

Bill ain't behind the big machine in Oz.

I imagine Mr. Moshiri ain't one to let people mess him around happen he is about to pay him a King's ransom.

So I am content enough at the moment to believe those who say there is nowt sinister behind the delay.

You can pick our bad scenarios out of everything. It's very common place in football to allow for a player or a manager to finish their holiday as their agents wont be. And they are the ones who come to terms. I think he has already signed his contract personally and were waiting for him to get back to unveil him properly and do it all in one sweep instead of it being drip fed.

But even if we haven't its not a big deal and you're taking offence to something that isn't offensive Everton will have told him to go and enjoy his holiday and to recharge his batteries before he comes.. which again is common, in fact if he had signed this week he would have just been given a holiday anyway so it's the same difference except this way as soon as he signs he gets to work

in short chill out there's nothing to worry about and he isn't holding a gun to our head like you're making out.

Devils advocate here.

What if the reason why the koeman deal suddenly revived was because Emery was going to PSG? If Emery had gone thanks, but PAris have contacted me then it would make sense that the deal would not have happened and the club could spin the interest in koeman first choice thing as the running story....

No issue with him taking a 2nd pre-planned holiday this early in pre-season.

There is no indication that the delay is inherently his doing.

Would prefer a manager that retains a sense of self, and spends time with his family.

Bit of arrogance is fine by me too.

I recall reading planted articles about Martinez arriving at 5am each day to Finch Farm.

There was more guff about how he arranged his living room so he could watch footie whilst his wife watched Emmerdale.

That single-minded zeal didn't reap any rewards.

That makes no sense cause @The Esk was saying he was first choice long before Emery came in the picture

Koeman's former agent was contacted on 9th May, 3 days before Martinez was sacked.
