According to the guy I spoke to, he left Benfica as he was offered €30,000 A MONTH at Sporting, instead of the €20,000 he was getting at Benfica. I was amazed it was so low (compared to the Premier League), but he insists that's the rate for top managers in Portugal!
Go way thats shocking isnt it considering what some players get.could be a reason to tempt him moneywise to goodison but dont know with him not speaking english could prove a big stumbling block.

World Soccers List of 20 most in demand coaches:
Pep Guardiola
Jose Mourninho
Diego Simeone
Jorge Sampaoli
Frank De Boer
Marcelo Vielsa
Rafael Benitez
Brendan Rogers
Manuel Pelligrini
Lucien Favre
David Moyes
Jos Luhukay
Andre Villas-Boas
Cesare Prandelli
Rudi Garcia
Fabio Capello
Walter Mazzari
Michael Laudrup
Julen Lopetegui
Hubert Fournier

Other than the top 3 all the others would probably join. The PL is massively attractive.

Pochettino went into a club with cash and avery good (and expensive) first team squad. Leicester are an absolute freak. But they wont get top 4.

RM has been here only a short spell in Everton terms.

Big call there, Dave. About the Foxes.

Leicester are showing no signs of stopping.....and even if they do taper off a bit I cannot see the fifth placed team stringing together a good enough run to take advantage.

Leicester must be long odds on to finish top four and should seal the deal sans a Devon Loch type collapse.

If Leicester don't make top 4 they will be the first club in the Premier League era to not do so having acrued this many points at this stage of the season (in fact that was the also the case with their tally around Xmas time too)

Villa had 43 points and were 2nd at this point in 1998-99, having been top at christmas with 36. They finished 6th.

If villa had got 5 more points in 1998-99, they would have finished 5th.

Benitez wouldn't join us. From the horses mouth.

Only one team who was top at Christmas finished outside the top 4, that was Villa in 98 or something. What were Villa doing top of the league at Christmas in 1998, god only knows mind you.
