Howe will not be coming here.

He's got a good thing going on at Bournemouth. Being the favourites to go down, he's finishing very strongly in the table with his key signings injured for the vast majority of the season. He's young, has plenty of time. It makes no sense for him to jump in at the deep end when he's only just survived shallow water, above everyone's expectations.

Plus, he gets homesick. He loves Bournemouth. When we went up to Burnley, he laid the foundations for them to get promoted, but he couldn't handle being away from Bournemouth.

Not entirely sure the reason for his return was homesickness. Read somewhere it was because his Mam was terminally ill and/or had died and as the 'head' of the family he felt obliged to return for the sake of his siblings. Didn't feel he could cut it living in the land of the Dingles and so far from his family at such a tragic time and AFC Bournemouth happened to give him a way back into football. Admittedly, as much as East Lancashire has a bohemian quality and beauty about it the Epsom Downs and the South Wolds would probably edge it for me as well!

But is he actually any good? I think we're basing it more on his playing career and the dream of Bergkamp and Stam coming with him, which I'm not convinced they will.

I went to watch them the other year and they were so boring. The Ajax fans i spoke to all said the same, good, but boring.

Eddie Howe would be interested, judging by his non-committal quotes

Yes mate just noted that one myself,he has certainly proved that he can motivate a team to promotion on limited resources but may be a little too much of a punt at the moment.
I think we need someone with experience to steady the ship, reassure the players that will be staying and take a fresh look at things and give us new impetuous for the new season.

Don't get the De Boer shouts.

We can't draw any worthwhile conclusions from a manager who has only managed an Ajax side in the Eredivisie.

Think it's due to his status in the game and being a born winner.

In that regard it'd send out a message that we mean business, rather than bringing in an Eddie Howe, who would be very uninspiring.

In terms of his track record, I agree with you, nothing to write home about.

Disagree mate. You can look at how he conducts himself, how he gets his team playing and how those are relevant to everton.

He's got ajax winning back t back titles again for the first time in a while, he has brought through numerous youth players and has his team playing very solidly, also did quite well in europe at the same time.

Who would your choice be?
