Sorry but I want to see us win stuff chico.

I think Rafael would do that for us; I dont care about his past at Liverpool.
so theres no other managers in world football that could conceivable win us things?

come on mate.

Rafael isn't even last choice, he'd be below that.

To take your own words 'it's about more than a person, it's about the club'

A club which he was majorly disrespectful of, a club in which he would not fit in at all, a club that prides it's self on bringing their own youth through, where at his last merseyside club he got rid of most of the local staff, young players in favour for spanish unsuccessful ones.

He shouldn't be anywhere near this club and for you to suggest it is naive and stupidly edgy, for me.

I wouldn't take him if he was the last manager in the world.

Edgy? Gods sake , come on.

I see people pandering over Jose yet Rafael isnt considered.

Jose has called us small time; many managers have criticised our club. From long ball merchants to not playing football; hell we even had our own manager call us small time when going away to City.

I don't know who, but manager X would need to be:

x = 0.65y + 0.35z

Where Y is Martinez and Z is Moyes. Someone attack minded but pragmatic enough to understand game management in seeing wins out and recognises the merits of having the best defensive organisation possible.

There are plenty.
But Rafael ticks lots of boxes; others dont.
Show me another manager proven at winning major trophies abroad and in England, Premier League experience, tactically astute, avaliable and realistic.

Mourinho :
He said: “Manchester United would be a great challenge for me. But Liverpool is not the club for me. I know why, but I cannot tell you.

“Tottenham, Everton... Arsenal maybe. These are all fine clubs with very good managers.

Bentiez kopite-prince :

Benitez: I was right to call Everton a small club

Jose Mourinho trophies: 21

Benitez: 12

But nah Mourinho would be the far worst choice out of those like.

There is a marked difference between calling out your opponents and being taken to an employment tribunal by one of your own staff.

True. Just messing while my supper cooks mate.

But Jose I could take, Rafael, no way.

You missed the point.

Its not just about him; its about the club too.
I didn't miss the point.
If he is found guilty and takes his punishment everyone moves on and if he came here our club might get a little stick but it will be forgotten soon enough.
Its not like he is adam johnson.
We all mess up in life and if he is sorry and means it we all move on.

Jose is being taken to court for bullying his own staff.

Jose relies on cheque book; so does Rafael.
Jose doesnt use academy; same as Rafael.
Jose criticised EFC; same as Rafael.

Jose is being taken to court for bullying his own staff.
And if he's found not guilty?

He's been taken to court over one thing, so have millions of other people.

It wouldn't change how successful he is as a manager.

I'd have a stella artois drinking mourinho over the fsw any day.

(obviously in jest)

But theres not one thing management wise, FSW can do that Mourinho can't do ten times better.

Theres loads of better candidates out for the job than the gimp of liverpool, so to suggest him even in anything but jest is ridiculous.

If hes found not guilty then yes he cant be criticised for it.

But right now he is being taken to court for bullying his own staff, was effectively sacked from the club because of the results which followed as both his own team and the footballing team completely gave up on him.

As I said, show me some of them who ticks the boxes.

Proven winner in England and ideally abroad.
Premier League experience.
Tactically astute.
Realistic.
Low to medium risk (i.e. wont get us relegated)

Those are what I would look for in a candidate.

and what though, A failure in a massively successful career, big wow.

Even his 'failure' at real madrid was a million times better than Benitez tenure.

He's still a hundred times better than what we have, and one of the best managers in world football.

Benitez has failed much, much worse.
