So you can buy success after all then. In that case we might as well keep Martinez and let him buy it for us :dodgy:
Mancini still told the defenders to defend. It was like a back 4, defensive mid and the rest just got told to attack.

It worked like a charm, but when Mancini needed to actually manage and alter things he failed.

I still want Simeone.

Mourinho would be a statement of intent too.

Out of the possibilities being banded around I suppose Koeman would be decent. Whether he could get us challenging for the title I am not sure.

Love this new game on here where we take a very decent manager (eh. Mancini Pellegrini etc.) then try and rationalise away their multiple league title trophies to in fact make out that we may as well stay with a man who has led us to back to back bottom half finishes. You couldn't make it up. Only Evertonians. 'Pellegrini can't defend so I'd rather have Roberto Martinez'. Please.

But, that is not the question to be asked or answered.
The question is that if RM leaves Everton then who should he be replaced by and what have these managers done to prove that they can move Everton to another level. They will have extra funds, but, I don't think we will be spending 60m on a player as City did with DeBruyne.

Would RM have done significantly worse at City with the resources that are there or would Pellegrini have done significantly better at Everton with the current squad.
I have not seen much to convince me that we would be far better off with Pellegrini. We got hammered by Liverpool days before the semifinal, the same happened to City at Southampton. City as a
Whereas to use a different manager as an example. I think we would be fighting for the title if we had the Spurs manager at Everton.

If Pellegrini comes he will have my full support, but it is an appointment that I would feel lukewarm about.

The dream.

Liverpool beat villareal in another famous anfield night and book their ticket to the final to meet seville.

Liverpool start brightly, take the lead and its on for a cup for klopp., then come the second half, seville jsut prove their experience and grind them down and beat them 2-1 extra time, seville are europa league champions

then 2 weeks later emery turns up on merseyside wearing the new home shirt and relishing the first derby of the season.

I like Emery but wouldn't he signal the end of Deulofeu?

He certainly fits the nuts criteria I have in mind for our new manager

del was a tit at seville, he was rightly not played.

Since he came back i think the ego has subsided somewhat so i can't forsee a problem. Del playing like he did for the first 4 months would be welcomed by anyone i'd imagine.

but i don't know for sure, just merely dreaming of a perfect managerial recruitment scenario lol
