Pellegrini's tactics do sound good, speaking to a city fan.

High intensity, looking to win ball back and attacking football. Plus city can defend despite what you say about the defenders.

What did the City fans you spoke to think of Pellegrini??

I know a lot of there fans and staff as i have a few dealings with them and never do I hear anyone say a bad word about him. They all seem to love him which is a bit surprising as it could be argued he has underachieved there.

I haven't asked directly what do you think of him, but i asked about tactics and they spoke very highly of them, depending on them all being on form. They did mention that the odd player missing and the tactics don't work as well which does fall in line with what @BlueToff said earlier about the tactics changing last night.

I will ask them their own personal opinions on the man next chance i get though now i am more convinced he is our next manager lol

For all that I want Martinez gone and as soon as possible - I really have not got a clue where our best option for the future lies.

Glad I'm not the one making the decison as this has to be up there with one of the most critical decisions the club has had to make in a very long time.

i think the likes of Koeman and De Boer will think they can "sit tight" and wait for the Arsenal job to come availilble, wether it be now or next year!
My top 5 that i woul like (i have left out managers that are currently in other jobs that would seem unrealistic e.g Simeone)
1) Mourinho
2) De Boer
3) Rafael
4) Cocu
5) Hiddink

He's been very popular with his players wherever he's been. And, as you say, a lot of City fans still like him.

Hmmm this UTD wanting Jose to wait a year is interesting. It could be construed as a "saving face" exercise so both can kind of brush off the transfer without committing too much.

Still think Pellegrini is the more likely and I'd be very happy if he was. Happier with Jose mind.

I can't believe that to be true. Surely no football club can be run so negligent of any rationality?

Well depending on, what you read and who you believe, Man Utd have done some odd stuff since Ed Woodward took charge, some of their fans I have spoken to have not been happy with how he has recruited players and how he is with Van Gaal. Strange things happen in football, this could be one of them

Picking keep saying " We need a proven winner "

Simeone was not a proven winner when Madrid made him manager. Jose Mourinho was not a proven winner when Porto made him manager.

And these are the types of manager you now crave. Martin O'Neill is a proven winner according to the stats and trophies he has secured, is this the proven winner you all want?

Is Jose's "short termism" type approach really the answer?

Is his demise at Chelski this time around not a big enough blot on his CV to raise concern?

People don't really believe the Martin O'Neill thing do they?
No, to me, reading the articles, it sounds like he is trying to get a new contract with the International team and his agent is using the threat of him coming to us, to get a better deal.

It would'nt surprise me if a few of the people mentioned are doing the same, like Low and Koeman
