Properly underwhelming is Koeman.
Was for him at first, now, nah.

Yah.Nah.

I don't get why people are downbeat about Koeman.
He has had to rebuild that Southampton team twice, and has done a very good job in doing it both times.
I think he'd do great for us.
Personally i think Koeman would be a disgraceful appointment.
Total lack of ambition.
Hardly going to be able to attact or keep top players after his yoyo managerial career. In Holland he seems to have done well on paper but that masks the reality of winning leagues then a disaster of a following season and at valencia he was terrible.
Hes just outside of the top 6 at southampton and hasnt really thrilled me with their football + has had money to spend due to mugging rodgers off on fees.
Hardly an exciting or ambitious appointment. Id rather have Howe and thats saying something.

De Boer has done better than Koeman in the early part of his career. I think there's more of an upside with De Boer, but he's more of a gamble than Koeman because he's never managed in the premier league. Emery however is miles ahead of them both in my opinion and I have no idea why he's not been mentioned. At least West Ham went out to get him last summer, doesn't even look like we've tried. Are people seriously turning their noses up at Koeman? He's a big name in the game. He's won the Eredivisie too (with two different clubs, and seems to have done a good job at Feyenoord), won cups and is proven in the Premier League at a club that, let's remind ourselves, will finish comfortably above us.
Granted, his time at Valencia doesn't seem to have been great but at least he still won them the cup.
I would love Mourinho, and it seems like we are trying for him too (imagine the previous regime even talking to him), but if we can't get him then Koeman is a very good alternative.
I'd certainly rather him than Pellegrini or De Boer personally.
I think he'd be good for us, but at the same time id feel disappointed because it obviously means we werent able to tempt Jose who is my first choice!
Monaco? You sure bro? Monaco just got completely turned over by Lyon 6-1 on Saturday. They're as abject as us at the mo.Brilliant player, used to love watching teams when he played for them...as a manager i can see zero attraction.
When you look at the players he's signed for Sourhampton its also very unambitious.
He shouldnt even be in consideration. Totally unabitious appointment and also smacks of a mid table club level....southampton.
Compare to Cocu whose won the league 2ce in a row losing his best two players last summer and up against ajax....or even de boer himself with an array of superstars on his backroom team...even Jardin at monaco whose had to live with the monaco chairman losing a huge amount of his fortune...these are mid level appointments but have huge upside...Koeman has the "sammy lee / Shane Long" Fear factor...
